I just read a Junie B Jones book and her friend (a boy) is named Lennie. That must be why I was thinking the doll was a boy. ;D

It makes me think of Lenny Kravitz. I know the spelling is slightly different.

Has anyone ever heard of a girl Lennie? I'm sure there are but I have never known one. ;D What did everyone think of Bart wanting to watch the game instead of going to the dance and actually admitting to Kristy that was the reason? I would have been so mad!

Lennie makes me think of "Of Mice and Men".
And I have a boy rag doll. Somewhere, I put all my dolls in storage when I realized how creepy their eyes were. Coincidently, this was soon after I saw Child's Play 1-3 at a sleepover. ;D

^ I have a boy rag doll, too. My grandma knitted him for me when I was really little. ;D I can see Child's Play making someone scared of dolls.... ;D

Yeah, I'd have been pretty mad, too! Because didn't he know about the dance way before he knew that there was going to be a game on TV? Sorry, dude, have someone record the game for you and you can watch it later!

This book is one of those ones where it's almost painful to read because you just know it's not gonna end well I already felt the dread while Stacey was hiding all of her "childish" stuff in her room before Laine arrived. I could understand Stacey's desire to share Stoneybrook with Laine and how Stacey's enthusiasm kept her from picking up on Laine's signals, though. It was an awkward situation all around. I enjoyed the subplot Especially Nicky's crush. The Hobarts were also adorable.

I always felt bad for Lennie. Shoved aside here, stuffed under the bed in "Logan likes Mary Anne".

I reread this one last night, and I have a question. Does Stacey ever see Laine again before the series ends? I remember reading a fanfic where she does, but I could have sworn it happened in one of the actual books, too. Can anyone set me straight?

It happened in FF...it was Stacey's Problem, I'm pretty sure. She sees Laine at a restaurant or something while she's out with her dad and they chat for a minute or two.

^ Okay, thanks! I'm glad I didn't imagine that happening.
