This is one of my favorite BSC books. While I felt like Logan and Mary Anne's relationship went downhill from Mary Anne and the Search for Tigger, I've always rooted for their relationship. They were such a cute couple. But somehow their relationship felt different, I guess it's because it was "new".
This book had quite a few "LOL" moments. I loved how the very first BSC meeting with Logan was "awkward". It was hilarious when one of the girls accidentally said "bra strap" in front of Logan. I personally think they're overreacting a bit (like a thirteen year old guy would really care if a girl mentions a bra strap) but they act truly thirteen. Thirteen year olds overreact over little things.
I felt bad for Mary Anne when she went to her first school dance with Logan. I liked how her first dance wasn't a "dream come true", it's pretty realistic. It was funny when her shoe went flying. I didn't like it when the BSC members laughed at Mary Anne's shoe flying. But maybe I'm being too sensitive. ;D
I loved Mary Anne's school dance outfit. Her "famous cities skirt" sounded adorable and it screams the 1980s.
The surprise birthday party scene was funny. I do sympathize Mary Anne not liking to be surprised but I do think it's really stretching it when she ran away from her own birthday party. I'm incredibly shy (and I have social anxiety) but I never ran away from my own birthday party! But, anyways, I still felt sorry for Mary Anne.
Jackie's grasshopper, Elizabeth, sounded like a cute little pet. I don't think it's ever been mentioned again? I don't think so because in Jessi Ramsey, Pet-Sitter (I think that's the book), Jackie thought he was too big of a 'walking disaster' and he was too klutzy to own a pet. I don't believe they ever mentioned Elizabeth.

The bra strap thing. It's like, don't say Bra strap in front of Logan. Logan tells Mary Anne, he was embarrassed just to say the word, bra strap in front of the girls. Just two words. They did overact, on that part.

^ I know, right! Imagine how the BSC would react if they accidentally mention the word 'period' in front of Logan (that is, if there's any periods in BSC land!).

^They'll probably hide from the boys. If, they mention period. (Probably in BSC land. The girls, wouldn't know, what a period is.)

Yeah the cities skirt sounds 80's, but I can also see it being very popular today, like how there are clothes right now listing cities like NYC, Paris, London, San Fran, etc. like sweatshirts and t shirts
I still think running out of that party and feeling sorry for herself for no reason was too much. I'm no stranger to anxiety and though I get crying is a reaction, she was already told the party was not completely about her, it was just a school party where they happened to give her a cake and presents cause they like her. She made it about herself more than she needed to.

Supprazz, I totally agree the "famous cities skirt" would be popular right now. There are too many T-shirts/sweatshirts listing famous cities for me to count!

When I think of famous cities stuff I think of cheap-ass Old Navy t-shirts. I guess they don't really do international cities that I've noticed, but they always have US cities with weird designs on them.
