Maybe it was, but the Casa Azteca near our college was a very authentic place. Ah, it was there that I fell in love with fajitas!

Casa Grande to me sounded like it may have been a Stoneybrook-style taco bell. I always kind of thought that too.

Me too, but I pictured Casa Grande to be a little more upscale than Taco Bell, I'm not sure exactly how I pictured it; I'll have to come across it again, but Taco Bell was not the first thing to come to mind when I thought of Casa Grande.

^Yeah, I thought the same thing. It sort of reminds one of Taco Bell, but I got the impression that the food was...I dunno, a bit better? Don't Mary Anne and Richard get food from there when they go on their mall trip? It always sounded pretty good.

I always thought Casa Grande sounded good but like a food court. Maybe it was more upscale or authentic but for some reason, I never got that impression. Uncle Ed's does sound like a cool place, though I'm not a big Chinese food fan. It is okay sometimes, though, just not my favorite. ;D

I think you're right, it was part of the food court. Never mind then! I totally didn't see Uncle Ed's in the poll. I like Chinese food a lot

^ Casa Grande was where Logan worked in Mystery at the Mall, right? I guess that's why I picture it as a food court. That makes it more appealing to me. ;D

^ I'm pretty sure it IS in the food court at the mall, along with some other places. I always pictured it as a little more upscale than Taco Bell, too. Not that there's anything wrong with Taco Bell; I got many a cheap meal at the one across the street from my first job.

Pizza Express always reminded me of something like the pizza shop in the Disney movie Read it and Weep, if you've ever seen it. (Obvs it pre-dates that movie, but it's like what I always pictured.) A smallish, family-owned place on the main "downtown" strip, with a big plate glass window in front and one room with a few tables, where all the teens and pre-teens would go to hang out.

Me too. With a jukebox and surly teenage employees who chew gum and bleach their hair. ;D

I really want to find a place like Cabbages and Kings. (by the way, isn't that from the poem "The Walrus and the Carpenter?) Anyway, I want to eat somewhere where it's all fresh, avocado-filled, tofu kinds of amazing. I'm tired of the regular places.
