Pizza Express because I can see myself eating pizza more than I can see myself eating something like ice cream or a burger.

I see there are no votes for Renwick's...I think that was the place Kristy mentioned in Haunted Mansion where she and Bart were going to get burgers after a game. It always made me really hungry reading that

I'm thinking about changing my vote from Pizza Express to Friendly's.

I had to vote for Uncle Ed's as chinese is my favourite. Casa Grande is a definite second though. We used to have Taco Bell here years ago which i loved! but one day we went to go there and it was gone... :'-( I did notice there is a new place called Mad Mex that just opened in our local mall which i really want to try!

I have a weakness for the caramel empanadas from Taco Bell. MMM
I just had shrimp and pasta for dinner, but Chinese still sounds good! Were there ever any mentions of seafood places in Stoneybrook?

i think casa grande sounds amazing. i can barely make it through that scene in MA's makeover without craving mexican food.

I never saw this poll before and just voted for Friendly's because I love the name. Also, didn't Stacey or someone "hide" from Jamie Newton inside Friendly's? Jamie is my favorite charge and I really loved his mom, especially in the early books because she came across as very caring and like she really did think a lot of the BSC members. I also thought it was so sweet how she danced with Jamie at the Spring dance at the Community Center. Maybe I could "meet" the Newtons there for lunch. For a Stoneybrook only restaurant, I would enjoy going to Renwicks and ordering the Linus special of a grilled cheese and a chocolate not vanilla shake like the one MA wanted at the Rosebud in "MA Vs. Logan." But lol that would be what I would get at most any of the other places except Pizza Express I would get anyway. Sarish, did you ever go to the Rosebud, btw? And I think going to a Stoneybrook McDonald's would just be dibble. Just because of the location, it would make it an entirely different experience. It would be dibble to have a breakfast party there (like the one the BSC made for Derek) or a later in the afternoon sundae.

There is a Friendly's restaurant in Canada, usually in food courts or malls, that serves mostly healthy foods like soups and salads. I always used to think of the Stoneybrook Friendly's as that one. But I know now that Friendly's is a completely different chain in the U.S. that serves diner-type food. Essentially, I saw Friendly's as another healthy alternative in Stoneybrook, sort of like Cabbages.

zoar, do you not have Friendly's where you are? They're pretty common on the east coast. I've noticed a strange tendency for Friendly's customers to be lots of high school kids and lots of senior citizens, with no middle ground.
I find it weird that in the midst of all the fictional restaurants Ann created, she threw in a Friendly's for some reason.

Virgo, that is interesting how the same name of a restaurant can serve different foods. Lol, I do fully confess if Friendly's was like Cabbages and Kings that I would most likely pass on going there. Celaeno, no Friendly's out here. I once had a friend who lived in MA who said she ate their often and I believe a few years ago when we had talked about an old Disney Channel Show "Bug Juice," (I believe Sparklymouse, also enjoyed that and agreed with me about Rhett the counselor), someone had mentioned the campers (in Maine) went there, too. There are a few Johnny Rocket's out here which is a diner type restaurant. I pictured Friendly's as maybe a Denny's/Argo/Renwicks, just a quieter, 80's-ish family restaurant. I also can see it as a diner of sorts like a smaller and quieter Johnny Rockets, which we do have some of out here.

I think a McDonalds or a Burger King in Stoneybrook is just so cool since it shows the power of globalization that those two fast-food chains have: that it could expand across different universes!!

^ Interesting perspective as I feel the opposite way. Part of me liked it because it was something I could relate to, but another part of me doesn't like the idea of a McDonald's in Stoneybrook.
