You're right, she would combine her interests.

Fashion marketing. She'd be able to use both of her chapter 2 interests: money and clothes. Nothing wrong with turning childhood/teenage interests into a career! True, so in a way it'll be like she has the best of both worlds.

I can imagine Stacey doing all of these things, really....I once pictured her as the general manager of some big hotel in NYC. She'll begin with working at the front desk, while getting her Business Degree in college, and then she'll work her way up from there....*shrug* I like the fashion marketing idea, too, though...
Whatever she does, I see her as being like her Dad about work.

It would be cool if Stacey did something to promote diabetes education/prevention. I have to agree that overall, she probably would have an Ed McGill like approach to work. I read a novella once in one of the More than Words Anthologies based on a real woman who started up a fashion business that provided dresses/job interview wear along with helping women prepare to go back to work. I think it was called Dress for Success. Maybe if Stacey either helped her mom with the clothing store, or ran her own, she'd somehow incorporate helping people living with diabetes in it. I am not sure how she'd do that just a thought.

when i picture her future career I picture her as a personal shopper much like Becky Bloomwood in the shopaholic series. Stacey liked giving out fashion device and trying to make her "unfashionable" friends over. I think the perfect job for her would be working at Kleinfelds in nyc. She could live in nyc, be surrounded by beautiful clothes all the time and help other people pick out the right dress, plus the uniform is black which the bsc likes to remind us is "nyc stacey" and she might even get on 'say yes to the dress'. which mal would be jealously watching at home and wishing she was stacey

I could see her owning a trendy boutique. She would have the finance skills to start it up and fashion sense to figure out what is cool. I def see it being in NYC!

^That really would be a perfect job for her! Sort of a larger scale version of what Janet and Leslie (weren't they the ones)?, the BSC Agency Members ended up doing instead of baby-sitting. Maybe in "our" Stacey's case, instead of making the person throw away their "bad" clothes, (something I hate about WNTW. I just don't care for the idea of throwing clothes in a garbage can, literally and verbally trashing them, but then making the flippant remark, of how the items will go to charity), she'll pass them onto Claudia who will "recycle them in a fashionable way." Hey that could be a career for the two of them.

I'd be inclined to disagree. Her dad is a workaholic and she showed tendencies in that vein in Stacey McGill, Super Sitter. You could argue that Maureen set a stay in bed mom example before the divorce, but she seems happier in the FF books working toward her own career with the boutique. Her mom, dad, and stepmom all seem like people who enjoy having a career so I think that would instill a strong work ethic in Stacey, at least to the extent that she wouldn't want to exist only to validate someone else.

^Totally agree. Stacey comes across as pretty ambitious even at 13!
