'Portrait Collections' Fan Fic

Hi all

I have a project in mind that I've been thinking of for a while, before I even joined this community in December. I always loved the 'Portrait Collection' books, and was, like many other BSC fans, disappointed that Mallory and Jessi never got their own Portrait Collections. So, I want to set out to gather some of you hardcore BSC fans to create a Portrait Collection for both Mal and Jessi, with a person (or group of them) writing a 'section' of the Portrait Book each.

(My 2nd thing to say is, can anyone comment any links to Portrait Collection or Super Special fan fics that they know of please? It's hard to go through 632 pages of BSC Fan Fic on fanfic.net site to look for them! lol )

Okay, so anyone please comment here or you can message me if you're interested and which Portrait you want to write for (Mal, or Jessi) and what chapter?

Introductory chapter (Mal starts writing her autobiography as 8th grade at Riverbend, when she recalls how the BSC did it when they were in 8th grade at SMS) - Taken by 'malloryfan14'
1: Birth to Kindergarten
2: 1st Grade/2nd grade
3: Getting into writing/reading (Grade 3)
4: Happenings with Pike family (Grade 4/5) - Taken by 'miss_slipslop'
5:Getting glasses/Mal's worries about her image (Grade 5)
6: Life in 6th Grade, before Jessi is her best friend (Grade 6)
7: Joining the BSC (Grade 6)
8: Post-BSC chapter (At Boarding School) - Taken by 'greer'
Ending Chapter (when Mal finishes her autobiography) - Taken by 'malloryfan14'

JESSI

1: Birth to kindergarten
2: Becca being born (Grade 3)
3: Jessi begins ballet dancing (Grade 4)
4: Ramsey family takes a holiday adventure (Grade 5)
5: Ramsey family moves to Stoneybrooke. Explains Jessi's feelings about this, and the racism in Stoneybrooke (Grade 6)
6: Post-BSC Chapter/Jessi entering 7th Grade possibly/continuing friendship with Mal (Grade 7)

I had seen a thread about a planned project of this from about 2006/2007, but as nothing became of it, I wanted to get it going again!

NOTE: Completed chapters can be sent to [e-mail], and I'll organise it if I can get every chapter written by someone.

Do you want the Portrait to be written as Mal and Jessi are in eighth grade? It would make sense, for instance, for Jessi to write hers in eighth grade. And Mal could be in an elective at Riverbend on memoirs and decide to do hers along the SMS guidelines, as it was something she'd actually been looking forward to at SMS.

Also, there are two active BSC fanfiction communities on livejournal, and a lot of people who like to write for the Pikes. There's community.livejournal.com/bsc_fanfiction and community.livejournal.com/babysitters100 --try posting in these places. The fic on lj tends to be much better than in ff.net, and you'll get better writers.

Oh, and Jessi started dancing when she was like, 3 or so. Make sure you check your canon!

you have to sign up for a livejournal, and then you can join and post in communities using that account.

I know this is two years old, so it's a shot in the dark, but would anyone be willing to start this up again? I'm lazy and a mediocre writer, so there's no way I could pull off a multi-chap Portrait Book by myself.

Does anyone remember if people wrote anything for this, and if so, where they posted it? It'd save us a bit of time. Alternatively, we could start again & reallocate two chapters to each person.

Mistrali, I have been away from the boards for quite a long time but there were only some few chapters posted on a BSC fan fic LJ community which seem to have vanished so please feel free to start up aain - its a great idea
