I was just reading Claudia and the Great Search, and Claudia mentions that Kristy and Bart aren't "boyfriend and girlfriend (yet), but I have high hopes for this." I thought that was a sweet thing to say and notice that Claudia often says stuff like, "Kristy is so pretty even if she's not aware of it." She gives her an odd but well-meaning makeover in Kristy and the Worst Kid Ever, and I liked their double date in Kristy and the Sister War (even though it was painful seeing Claudia so clueless about Mark...) I think they're pretty funny together. What do you think of their relationship? Are there any scenes between them you especially remember, like, don't like?

I've said many times that Claudia and Kristy are my favorite friend pair. I think Claudia has the goofiness that Mary Anne lacks to be able to balance out Kristy's high strung-ness. I'm going to do something nerdy and quote myself from another thread. I also loved when Kristy picked Claudia to go with her to the concert in Mind Your Own Business, Kristy. Too bad they were slightly traumatized by the car ride and didn't actually get to see it, lol.

claudia and kristy together is one of my favorites. i really loved when they sat for jamie and his cousins together. kristy's bossiness and claudia's easy going-ness balance out well.

I love the Kristy/Claudia interaction in the Sea Rose section of Claudia's Book, as well as Claudia's observations about Kristy's toughness, responsibility, and general awesomeness. My favorite part, though, is Claudia talking Kristy into loosening up a little and not confessing that David Michael had gotten lost.

Okay, they're my new favorite pair to read about now. Seriously. I love what you guys are posting!
Speaking of Sea Rose, I found out today that Kishi means "beach" or "seashore" (read it online, don't know how accurate it is). Dawn would be jealous.

^ I checked out what Kishi meant. While I did get several definitions, coast and shore were two of the definitions. Here's a link to where I checked it out: www.freedict.com/onldict/jap.html

I really love the friendship and relationship between these two a lot too! Specially the scene when both of them went clothes shopping together and Kristy freaked out about the price tag of a clothe.

I like them too! I just finished Super Special 3, Winter Vacation, where they get mad at each other because of Kristy's ridiculous competitiveness. And then, even when they're still fighting and haven't made up yet, Claudia's dreams get shattered into reality when she realizes that Guy dude is WAY, WAY too old for her with a wife and kids, heh - and Kristy puts her arm around Claudia without having to say anything. Aw!

They are a cool pair, though they were cracking me up in Stacey's Mistake when Claudia was a jerk and asked Coby to dance with her instead of Kristy when she was really mad at Stacey and jealous of Laine.
