I really like Merry Perkins and wish she had been in more books. Just read about her in Karen’s Tattletale and she seemed so nice and understanding. A lot of the adults like her and Ms. Colman seemed almost better sometimes than Karen’s parents – Lisa and Watson at least. I like it when there are adults like Merry in the BSC and LS books because they just give me a good, positive feeling. ;D

Plus Karen had a nanny and a Nannie. (Her joke, not mine. Two, you hear me, TWO OF EVERYTHING!!! Merry seemed nice, but that would be a weird job to take. She only worked every other month.

I liked Merry too and wish that she'd been in more books . But I also agree with sparklymouse that that job was a weird one to take since she only did work every other month. I wonder what she did during the months that Karen and Andrew were at the Big House (other than her pottery class of course ;D)

^ Maybe. Or maybe she was "independently wealthy" ;D I never thought about the every other month arrangment. Maybe the authors didn't, either. ;D

Her name reminds me of Mary Poppins. One reason Karen and Andrew liked her is because of the Mary Poppins connection. ;D They were looking for a nanny like Mary and found Merry. ;D

This is totally unrelated to the topic, but before I looked in this thread, there was an ad above the page for Little Sister ringtones lol ;D.
