I want to get some bsc books from amazon.com and was wondering if anyone knows about the condition of the used books, I mean, is there a way to tell before you get the books?

I've bought some used books there before. Usually the seller describes the condition it's in underneath the other product info for whatever they're selling. Sometimes it's not 100% accurate (for example, they might say "very slightly worn, some creasing" and it ends up being the book's spine is in bad shape and the covers are pretty bent, something like that). I'm sure you can contact them via email and ask for more specifics, too. I've always been pretty satisfied with what I get, though.

Ive been on half.com, and found the books to be really cheap. And if you buy from the same seller the shipping gets cheaper. They have a really great selection of the books too!

I just wanted to let you know, that I found some pretty cheap books on Barnes and noble website. They are from used sellers, but I have been pretty satisfied so far, the pricing is reasonable as well.

Really, the only books that we have at our Barns & Noble is the graphic novels.

They were from used book sellers. I got about 5 of the mysteries for only about a total of 10 dollars, that was with shipping and handling.

for me, with all the books i got, it came to about 5 dollars, which normally would be bad, but I had 5 books. They have different used booksellers to chose from so it may vary.

So far I've gotten a bunch books from Amazon and most were in relatively good condition. Sometimes you get really lucky and a book the seller described as only in "Good" condition turns out to be almost mint. That's happened to me twice now.

I love it when I luck out like that. Although sometimes the sellers plays up the condition of the book as well...
