What items do you see them collecting and why?
Mary Anne - twine/yarn since she likes to sew. Kristy - baseballs with the signature of her favorite baseball players. Stacey - I don't know. Clothing, maybe. Claudia - I'm seeing her collecting paintings. Mallory - I'm seeing her collect her favorite books, so that she could read them all the time instead of going to the library and having to renew them. Jessi - her ballet slippers, so she could remember her journey throughout the years and maybe she would show her slippers to her kids or to her ballet students if she'll be teaching ballet. Abby - soccerballs since it's her favorite sport. If not soccerballs, maybe something odd and out of the ordinary. Dawn - seasells since she'll be hanging out at the beach a lot.
Sorry if my answers seem obvious and boring but that's what I seem them collecting.

I could see MA collecting teddy bears or Precious Moments. Stacey would be a little classier and do the WillowTree angels.
I could see Claudia collecting Jim Shore stuff. Do you know who that is? His stuff is at Hallmark. It's very bright and fun stuff.

Lol at Mary Anne collecting balls of yarn. I guess she could throw them at Tigger if she got bored. Stacey, maybe expensive jewelry, handbags or shoes. Or Porky Pig stuff. Abby, all her old inhalers.

The image of Mary Anne surrounded by a bulging bag of various balls of yarn is hilarious. I could totally see it, especially as she got much older. She could throw the balls at Dawn (instead of coffee cups) you mean. ;p I could also see Mary Anne having a beanie baby collection complete in their boxes and on display. Lol, now I'm taken back to our Werther's discussion on the candy being for older people because at the moment "older" is how I'm picturing MA's future small home, cluttered but loved with her treasures. I can see Kristy collecting "memories" and making her own "time capsules/" memory boxes at various points in her life as she needed them or maybe to share with future family/husband. Like I can imagine her having a hidden box with pictures of her dad, maybe of some times they spent together, something as horribly sad as Louie's collar, happier things like a Krushers signed softball, just little, everyday things that she might not always (easily anyway) tell people how much they meant to her. Does that make sense? Claudia collects rainwater, of course! Stacey I can see her keeping ticket stubs and/or programs to various Broadway and maybe Fashion Shows along with high end clothing magazines. Dawn would collect 100 watt light-bulbs? IDK. Maybe she'd solicit as many signatures as she could for a zillion petitions. I don't see her being the collector of an item type. Abby would (continue) to collect pet pumpkin type souvenirs, possibly one day starting a business based on random/tacky/fun souvenirs. I could see her working at such a touristy store and loving it. Didn't Mal collect miniature horses or am I making that up? I could swear she said she wanted to display them in her room at Riverbend but that Alexis had not left her any room. She'd definitely be the shadow box miniature type. Heck, when I was younger so was I. Jessi, I think you're right Anzuhana in that she'd hold onto ballet slippers from a "special" performance. I did like how she signed the ones for Becca that she (J) wore in "Sleeping Beauty."

Maybe music boxes for Mary Anne, since she was so taken with the one in Music Box Secret.

I forgot all about Stacey's love of Porky Pig!
Along with music boxes, I see MA collecting tea sets. Have you seen the ones that are shaped like animals and other stuff? They're cute and very MA-ish.

I can see the following characters collecting the following things:
Mary Anne: Since she has a softspot for cats, I can see her collecting anything about cats. Claudia: Some portraits by her favorite artists, her own works, and anything about arts & crafts. Stacey: Every fashion magazines that had been printed. Kristy: Anything about softball and baseball. Shannon: Since she loves dogs, I guess anything that have to do with dogs. Dawn: I guess dolphin stuff, since it's her favorite animal. Mallory: The books written by the favorite authors. Jessi: Everything about ballet and her old ballet shoes and outfits. Abby: Since she loves sports anything that has to do with them.

I hope one of them would collect Claudia Kishi original artwork. Even if Claudia never made big.
I see Mary Anne and Mallory being the most sentimental members and doing the whole scrapbooking thing.
If I was Jessi I would have a stack of old programs from everything I've been a part of.

^ Aw, I'd hope at least one of them would. I could definitely see Kristy keeping at least one piece since positive childhood-teenage-hood (I just re-read the prequel) memories seem more important to her to keep hold of than some of the others.
I wonder if Claudia might put together (more of than her tiny collage) some sort of Mimi history. If so, she'd collect items from Mimi's past but also stuff that might symbolize Mimi to her.
O/T of sorts but did the books ever say why Stacey was into pigs?

"O/T of sorts but did the books ever say why Stacey was into pigs?"
I don't think she ever gave a reason why she loves pigs so much. Might be because pink is her favorite color?

^That could be! Light pink is also my favorite color and I'm not a pig fan but to each their own. Maybe she saw some cute pigs at a zoo once or had a memory of reading a children's book with memorable piggy characters. I guess anything is possible.

I know Stacey really liked Porky Pig, so she probably started with Porky and expanded into pigs in general from there.

^Probably, Greer. Cool she chose a less popular character to be a fan of. I would just hope her liking him wasn't in jest for how he spoke.

I know Stacey really liked Porky Pig, so she probably started with Porky and expanded into pigs in general from there. True...I'm glad some people remembered that instead of just stereotyping Stacey into some sort of fashion "classy" snob. Collections: Kristy would be into baseball cards and perhaps sports balls with autographs. Claudia would collect art and unusual sculptures...I can see her home being full of colorful sculptures and artwork. Mary Anne would likely collect tea sets and cat designs...I can see her having those around her home. Stacey would collect pig sets and maybe would branch out into other animal sets like rabbits and ducks and keep them around her home. Dawn would have lots of cacti and lots of southwest animal designs and figurines around her house. She'd also have lots of Zuni pots and other clay pots around her house as well as southwest rugs around her place. Abby would have sports figurines and baseball cards around her house as well as very funny political cartoons up on her walls and framed on her night tables. She'd also have funny prankster sort of gadgets around her place as well. Anna would have lots of pictures and figurines of orchestras and music notes around her house in addition of many shelves of music CDS and DVDs of orchestra and band performances. I see her collecting lots of DVDs of music videos as well. Jessi would have lots of ballet figurines and pictures of ballet dancers in her home. She would also have lots of CDs and DVDs of ballet performances. Mallory would likely have a mini-library of children's books she'd collected over the years, some old and classic, others new. She might also have lots of framed pictures around her house of popular children's illustrations. Those are the collections I see the BSC having around their homes into adulthood.
