Day 1: Stacey is probably my favorite but I don't have any real reason why.
Day 2: Dawn, because she's such a stereotype and they harp so much on her being "an individual".

D2 Least favorite sitter - It was a tough choice between Logan and Dawn but I went with Dawn. She's a stereotype of California and I think she got annoying as the series went on. I also didn't like how obnoxious she was about eating meat. ETA: I want to change my answer to Logan. As annoying as Dawn is, I can like her books at times, where as I can't the same for Logan. Also, his relationship with Mary Anne makes me .

DAY 1 - I have two favourite sitters: Mary Anne and Stacey (when I was growing up it was just MA).
DAY 2 - My least favourite sitter would have to be Dawn. Not that I DISLIKE Dawn at all (I don't dislike any of the sitters) but I never connected with her as much. I didn't feel that sad when she moved away and I didn't dislike Abby as a replacement.

Day 2: Least Favorite Sitter-
This is always a hard question for me. I can hear you, Wiggirl screaming, "DAWN!" You know, I do agree. When it comes down to it, it's still, after all this time, a toss up for me between Dawn, MA, and Abby. At the moment I'm leaning toward Abby. I could easily see my young-self as being one of her mimic (in a not positive way) targets and/or being declared "weird" for being more introverted at times like Tess. Of the 3 of them, Abby was the only one who on a consistent basis seemed to garner power from getting in other people's faces either through being loud/brash or the imitations.

Day 1: Mallory was my childhood favorite, and still ranks high on my list...possibly for nostalgic reasons, but also because she faced a lot of the same struggles that I did growing up. Stacey is another favorite in more of a "who I always kind of wanted to be more like" sort of way.
Day 2: Abby is my least favorite. I never even cared to read the series anymore after she replaced Dawn when I was a kid so the nostalgia factor isn't there at all. I thought she was way too similar to Kristy but not as nice. Like zoar3, I think I would have had a tough time dealing with Abby if I had been a student at SMS, while Kristy likely wouldn't cause problems with people who didn't cause her problems first.

The Baby-Sitters Club 30 Days Challenge:
Day 1: Favorite Sitter:
Mary Anne Spier, she's the one that I can relate the most to and she's also my favorite because I love how Ann and the other authors described her in the books.
Day 2: Least Favorite Sitter:
Logan Bruno, This was so hard for me to chose! Since I love and like all of them equally the same, but I chose Logan. I really hate the way he treated Mary Anne in most of the books.
Day 3: Favorite Regular Book:
"Mary Anne Saves The Day!", I love this particular book because it was the very first one I read and picked up at my local library and it got me hooked up on the series and gave me my love for reading.

D3 Favorite regular book - Dawn and Too Many Sitters, oddly enough. I didn't find Dawn annoying here and a trip to Hawaii for $500 seems like a real bargain. Or maybe it's because I don't hate Dawn as much as I think I do.

Day 4: Least Favorite Regular Book
I normally would say "Jessi's Horrible Prank." However, this time of year gets me remembering/missing my own Grandparents and Champ that have all sadly passed away so I'm going to say,"Kristy and the Snobs."
I think it's safe to say all of you know I am one of Mimi's biggest fans. To this day, I hate that she was first riddled by a stroke and soon thereafter killed off. If I had one true "BSC re-do" wish that'd be it. I will say that at least, Mimi's last book (living) featured more of her and the Kishi family. I loved (still get choked up) over the scene near the end where Kristy and MA remember Mimi moments from their early childhood. IOW, there was a teeny bit of redeeming value, despite nothing taken away from the horrible sting of Mimi's death.
"Kristy and the Snobs," did not have the luxury of being any type of tribute to Louie. I also wish to all heck he had lived and been healthy and happy. I liked Shannon (the dog) but never bonded with her the way I did Louie; she simply wasn't as "real" to me. The subplot of this book consisted mostly of Shannon Kilbourne's stupid, rude, and at times, plain dumb hi-jinx. No "saving" grace at all. Possibly also, as I originally said, Karen's hijacking the funeral plans and even to some point (I think, haven't read this in a long time) Kristy and DM's grieving process. Karen seemed happier at a chance at a spotlight (her ideas for the funeral) than about poor Louie. Maybe understandable for a 5 year old who didn't know the dog that well but annoying nonetheless.

D4 Least favorite regular book - I'm not sure since there several choices. Maybe The Fire At Mary Anne's House since Mary Anne and her family lost almost all of their stuff in a fire.
