Near the beginning of Jessi and the Bad Baby-sitter, Stacey and Mary Anne show up for a meeting at 5:28 and 5:30 because their sitting jobs run later than expected, and Mallory is late because she was napping and didn't wake up in time. Kristy says that it's because Dawn's away and they're short a sitter that everyone is overtired and running late. The thing about Mallory is a valid concern, because no one knows yet that she's coming down with mono and isn't just plain tired. As for Stacey and Mary Anne, though, neither of them was actually late for the meeting, and it doesn't make any sense that Mrs. Arnold would magically come home earlier just because Dawn was still in Stoneybrook. Kristy makes no sense.

^ I know. You have to be at the meeting right on the dot. They could have been a couple minutes late. What's the parents clients going to do? Fly back home with their cars. Mary Anne or Jessi, fly through the neighborhood with their bikes. I can understand their late all the time. But, one minute late who not hurt the meeting.

In Dawn Schafer, Undercover Babysitter, they had a going-away-to-CA party for Dawn where they said that they'll let the answering machine get the calls.
