She may stand out more to me owing to the fact I play her on our RPG, but she is interesting, given her changing role in the books. First she is a gorgeous cheerleader, who is very friendly to Stacey, and kind of seems like the Queen Bee? But then, even after she doesn't let Stacey on the squad, Stacey is still friends with her... Then all of a sudden, she is a 'bad girl'. What do you all make of this? Do you think one girl can be a cheerleader and a bad girl? (that's kind of how I play her)
But what about the fact she's the only cheerleader who is a 'bad girl?' Does she have two groups of friends she keeps seperate?

That name sounds familiar outside of the BSC and I don't know why!

^ Well, there is a Sheila McGregor that wrote books on knitting. There are other women named Sheila McGregor, though.

I do have Stacey and the Cheerleaders. I'm going reread that book again. Must have miss Sheila's name, while reading the book.

She also gets a mention in Stacey and the Haunted Masquerade.

I absolutely think it's possible to be a cheerleader and a "bad girl." Plenty of the popular kids at my high school could have fit into both profiles. I tend to see Sheila as the stereotypical cheerleader type. Also, I want her hair, as it's described in Stacey's Broken Heart. (Side note: I Googled the title of the book, just to make sure I had it right, and the first result to come up was the recap I wrote for my old BSC Chronologically blog )

^Perhaps you did have the title of the book wrong, which is why your blog was the first result

That is kind of how I pictured her too. I think it's possible that she could have been a cheerleader and a bad girl too. Some girls in my high school would have fit into both categories.

The cheerleader/bad girl crossover is very popular in kid/teen literature and media. Or at least bad girl=queen bee. This role is known in TV Tropes as the "Alpha b*tch". That's at worst. In moderation, when the character is a bit mean but all right, it's "Lovable Alpha b*tch". If they have all of the alpha traits but none of the b*tch ones, they're more "Spoiled Sweet". I don't know which one Sheila is, really. Is she really that bad? I can believe she's a 'bad girl' but she definitely wasn't the worst of them.
