After reading Kristy's Worst Idea, a question popped into my head: what do you think the Babysitters Club is trying to say about monopolies (not the board game)? So, my question is what do you think the Babysitters Club series is trying to say about monopolies?

I think Kristy thinks monopolies are a very valid business model!

Haha, I actually opened this thread hoping it would be a list of all the times the BSC or their charges play Monopoly. I've definitely run across it a few times.

They clearly wanted no competition way back in #3.

I was actually hoping for the existance of a BSC monopoly board game.

^ Sorry about that. There was a thread about Monopoly (the board game) a while ago if anybody wanted it? It's probably buried.

^ If nothing else, I could buy a Monopoly game where you create your own Monopoly board game.

I'd totally play a home-made BSC board game! I made a board game based on The Chrysalids back in Gr. 9 and it was really good!

If there were a BSC Monopoly game, what do you think the most expensive (Boardwalk) spot would be? Bellair's? Chez Maurice? Watson's mansion?
Sorry we're derailing your thread, Amalia. lol.

What do you think their game pieces would be?
And yes, I think Kristy was all for a monopoly that worked to her benefit.

Kristy would probably be a shoe because she is always on the go. Or maybe a car.
Mary Anne would probably be a cat or a thimble.

Stacey would be a credit card.

Stacey would totally be a credit card. How come I didn't think of that?

^Stacey (or Claudia) might also be a shopping bag. I can see Kristy as the wheelbarrow because she is the get up and go of the BSC. MA, I can see as the ship just because she seemed to love traveling. When I was a kid, I usually insisted on being the dog piece, my dad was the wheelbarrow (for some reason I thought of it as a wagon, maybe because I wanted when I was very little a radio flyer red wagon), and my Grandma was the iron or I think a few times hat. I don't remember my Grandpa playing but he probably would have been the car, he did have some classic cars in his life that he enjoyed. Did any of you have set token preferences either for yourself or family members?
