I don't know if this has been mentioned but there is a Buzzfeed article called The "Babysitters Club" Guide for Food. I thought it was funny so here's the link: The "Babysitters Club" Guide to Food

"How about a giant Mars bar to celebrate?" Yeah, I can get behind that, TV!Claud.
The bits about pizza cracked me up. I can't even eat pizza (incl. frozen pizza) without thinking of the BSC's pizza toasts. CLEAR sign that this fandom has taken over my life. XD

^ I always think about pizza toasts whenever I eat pizza, too! So glad I'm not alone on this one.

I thought this thread was going to be a BSC cookbook, lol. Disappointment.

^ Maybe somebody can create a BSC cookbook! That would be kind of neat. We could include cottage cheese and jelly sandwiches (didn't the Arnold twins like to eat those??), Claudia's chocolate-cherry cake, and everything.

If only I were better at remembering which books contained specific mentions of food. I mean food requiring actual recipes, and not just like Claudia's Twinkies.

^ I suck at remembering recipes, too. Maybe we can rely to the thread "Food mentioned in BSC books". One of my favorite recipes in the BSC books is Claudia's sun-salad she makes in #40: Claudia and the Middle School Mystery. (At least, I think it's that book).
So, anybody else up for making a BSC cookbook?

Mallory Pike: I think the "sun salad" was in book 12. And it's cream cheese and jam/jelly sandwiches that Marilyn and Carolyn like.
It would dibbly fun to help with a BSC cookbook!

Good one! And in high school, especially once they're in the thick of puberty, like most teenagers, they EAT, EAT, EAT, EAT tons of food, especially chocolate and high-fat foods.
