I'm also a huge disney nerd. I've read negative things about the new Ghosts on the blogosphere, though.

I work in Fland at DW alas I wish it was DL b/c I am about sick of this yucky 1 million degree weather.
I actually think the new ghosts are really cool greer. Granted they are different, but Walt Disney always said his park would never be done!
Zoar3 - The Ghosts actually interact with you now in your doombuggy. When I rode through with my friend the "fat ghost (as I call him)" took a cannonball and made our heads disappear. Another time, the hobo looking ghost blew my head up in a balloon and it popped! I thought it was neat, but it is very different than the original. However, you gotta check out the new part of the queue! It is really awesome! They added a lot of cool effects.

Greer, nice to hear I'm not alone in Disney love. I'll have to read up on the "Ghosts." I did not know that. When I was a SoCal Passport holder, (I admit to having had the cheapest resident annual pass for a few years before my jaw issues), I would often check out mouseplanet.com (I think) for news/updates. I had also hoped the People mover would return. I was hoping you were going to say DL, Wiggirl, since I was thinking about going there next month and it would have been very cool to meet you. I am a huge DL fan (I've never been to DW :/) Due to my TMJ I haven't been to DL in a couple years. That sounds cool about the Haunted Mansion, thanks for the heads up.

I had my first DL trip last year when I ran the half marathon! I was in full on Disney nerdiness. I can't wait to go back!

^Wow, go you. I think Helsieboo is also a marathon runner.
I forgot to ask earlier, is the new mansion only at DW or is at also at DL? I found one video clip but I think it was from DW.

I went every year until I was twelve or thirteen, and I went three times in college. My dad lives 2.5 hours away from WDW and he used to have annual passes so I would go when I visit, but they don't have annual passes anymore because my siblings are apparently way more interested in water parks and stuff now.

I think it is only DW right now.

^I went to DL at least once a year as a kid. About 8 years ago when I moved back here, is when I had the annual pass for a few years. Sorry, Greer. A water park just is not the same at all.
Thanks, Wiggirl.

Hah, I don't like water parks either. Bacteria city.

I went to Raging Waters a few times as a kid. However since I wasn't into the thrill rides, there wasn't much other option. A few years ago, I was a summer camp counselor and took the kids to 2 different water parks. Horribly hot and the water did look iffy indeed.

I was never into water parks, either, but that was mostly because I can's swim very well. Give me Disney any day! I haven't read any BSC books in a long time (been too busy with school), but I've been craving some of the summery ones lately. I think this will have to be one of them!

I work in Fland at DW alas I wish it was DL b/c I am about sick of this yucky 1 million degree weather. Hate million degree weather here! I was talking to my best friend who lives in Seattle yesterday and she was saying how she sat outside and got some sun. I asked her what the temp was where she was and she said in the low forties. Ha, so she sat outside and got some sun with a sweater or two on! We were joking around because my husband and I sat outside a couple days ago in bathing suits and still sweated a ton. Stupid FL. Anyway, I really enjoyed reading this one when I finally got it as an adult. The idea of all the babysitters going on a cruise and really having their own freedom at that age is strange to me, but I guess it is a cruise ship, so where are they really going to go? It was cute how Kristy wanted to have her grandmother meet Mr. Staples, however why she wanted to hang out with an old man so much is beyond me!

I can't wait to take another trip to Florida. It was a long winter here and bad weather is really starting to get me down. I've never been to Disney; I probably wouldn't go unless I was taking kids with me. My sister's kids want to go really badly - maybe I'll take them someday!

I have been to Disney --- for two hours with my little cousin and my aunt and uncle who were visiting from Cali. Other than that the only 'Disney' related theme park I went to is Epcot for school. I wouldn't be opposed to going back for more than two hours! lol

I admit to having gone to DL a few times by myself (for a couple hours). It's not the same as with friends (or with all of you. That really would be dibble)I also hold onto the "fantasy" of one day going with my future hubby. I'd even take going with a great guy at the moment. We totally should plan a DL adventure. There's even the perfect hotel to stay at, just for our very own, "Candykane." It's called The Candy Cane Inn!
