So I ran into this children's anthology when I was looking on Amazon. Supposedly, Ann wrote a short story about Karen when she is eight in this. Has anyone read this? Or seen it in the store? I've been searching on google for a selection on it or something.

Sorry about the double post but I though I'd share the story.
So the story is really called 8x2= Sweet Sixteen. The story set 3 weeks before Karen turns 8 years old. The beginning is simply Karen talking about her families and she tells us how she'll have two birthdays when she turns 8 and how it'll be like turning 16. She goes on to making a list of what she wants from her mom and her dad. She recounts us that sometime before she asked for a kitten, go-cart, playhouse, and her own TV and Lisa had to guess at her presents.
Then she dreams what her actual 16th birthday will be like. Some things she wants is: no bedtime, drive a car (or the lawn mower), go to a big fancy party in a long sparkly gown (then talks about how Charlie took a girl named Joanna to his junior prom), take a trip by herself to Rome, have a job (she wants an office job, go figure), go to football games with her high school friends, go to magic adventure amusement park and take the fear mountain ride. What I found one of the hilarious things is that number 8 Karen want to wear glitter make up on her lips and eyes in public.
Oh and she asked Watson if she can go to bed a 9:30 now.

Sounds like a fan fiction wrote it, than Ann M. Martin wrote the book.

I have a copy of this. I was surprised when I found it in a thrift store because I'd never heard of it before that.
