I was wondering, why the phone number is KL5-1162 KL5-7548 & etc...?
Is that what Ann M. Martin, came up with? Is that how Connecticut say they're phone number? Is this with all books, mention phone numbers? I figure out, KL is 55. The phone number is 555-11162. They use that in movies. the fake 555 number.
Sorry, this already been talk about. I couldn't find topic about this.

Yeah, that's a good question. I never really thought about the phone numbers but I noticed that 555 is used in pretty much every movie/tv show and sometimes book. I just Googled the area codes (first three digits of a phone number) of Connecticut and they're 203, 860, and 959. I'm pretty sure that the BSC phone numbers are fake.

I've never heard of saying your phone number as letter-letter-number, but 555 numbers used to be used exclusively for media purposes.
From that wiki page: I vaguely remember this when I was learning how to use a phone. We only had to dial 4 numbers to call locally. It was kind of a big deal when we had to start dialing all 7 numbers, lol.

Aww, now I am thinking of learning to use the phone memories lol. We had toy phones that we called the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus on! When we played with Barbies, they had 555 numbers because that's what I read in BSC and I totally coveted Full House DJ's red lips bedroom phone.

I remember being disappointed when she switched to that plain black phone, haha.

We just say 7 digit phone numbers. Didn't use letter letter and then phone numbers, here in MI. I don't think, Michigan use letters back in the olden days.
