That would have been horrible and way too out of character for them. One of many things I loved about the BSC...they dealt with conflict in a FAIR and straightforward manner and when they had any fights, they fought fairly. So, no, none of that sneaking around behind anyone's back to get anyone fired. Never would Mary Anne, Claudia, Stacey or Dawn sneak around behind Kristy's back that way. That kind of sneaky crap is more fitting of a Sweet Valley book, especially Jessica and Lila's little 'unicorn' clique. The BSC is NOT the 'unicorn' club and Stoneybrook is NOT Sweet Valley. I've never read Sweet Valley, so that reference means nothing to me, but there is a lot of conflict between the sitters in the books, and much of what goes on between them isn't really what I would call fair. You seem to have a narrow interpretation on what is canon and how the characters should be interpreted. There's nothing wrong with that, but many fanfic authors can and have written some excellent stories outside of those confines. Somewhat true, but I just don't see the BSC plotting to kick Kristy out of the club. Yes, the BSC were not perfect friends, but they never crossed a certain line. Read some of the Sweet Valley books to get an idea of what I'm talking about. Several of the Sweet Valley girls are cliquish, shallow, immature, self-centered and bratty.

I've never really read sweet valley (only one book) and can't imagine the BSC exactly like them, but the BSC does have some catty moments. They do cross a line sometimes, like Stacey when she quit the BSC. The rest of the club did try to demote Kristy before in book 22.
It's been mentioned before in other threads, but I'd like to see a fic where Richard and Sharon met randomly like at the grocery store before MA and Dawn had them meet again.

True that the BSC isn't perfect, but on the whole, they seem deeper than most of the SV characters. And Stacey did return after a short time and the other girls took her back with open arms and no, they did not succeed in demoting Kristy.

^ They took her back as a friend, but Kristy did put Stacey on probation when it came to the club until Dawn left. It's not the fact that they succeeded it was the fact that ''tried'' to demote Kristy.

True...as I said, like any other friendship, they weren't perfect. Anyway, I have a plot egglet idea of the BSC meeting the Harry Potter gang in their young adult years during a November retreat in Salem, Massachussetts. The BSC is four years older than the HP gang...haven't ironed out all the details yet. I also have a plot egglet of the BSC and the Girl Talk gang meeting at a sort of anti-bullying conference during their senior year of high school. The Girl Talk gang is the same age as the BSC and they mingle and talk lots.
