I have only ever put Sun In in my hair in like sixth grade. I am noticing tons of gray hairs lately - this is the year of the gray. Color might be in the future, ughhh. I'm getting gray in my dark hair, but I'm actually thankful...thankful that I've been fortunate to live long enough for gray hairs. I imagine the BSC's parents all have gray hair by now. I loved Verna's salt-and-pepper hair and can imagine Mary Anne getting that same hair when she grows old. I'm picturing Elizabeth Brewer, Claudia's and Jessi's parents and Rachel Stevenson having that salt-and-pepper hair now. πππ Growing older can be a really beautiful thing.

Yes, that is true, and when the gray looks like tinsel in the light itβs beautiful...I just donβt like the ones that stick out of my head like wires more tinsel, less wires! Lol

I've had stray white hairs since my early 20s. They are getting more aggressive. I call them bean sprouts shooting out of my head.

I don't have any grey hair yet (just turned 32) but I've always had black hair and I know it will be hard to see myself looking different. I'm so jealous of my husband. He has blondish hair and white hair will totally blend in.
I did color my hair for the (sort of) first time though and I love it! I got cheapo blue highlights back in college that ruined my hair and I said I would never do bleach again, but I found a great salon and I'm really happy to have color that looks natural and healthy.

What color did you dye it? Or did you keep it black...? I've always loved straight, thick, dark hair, especially black hair...my hair is dark brown almost as dark as Mary Anne's hair. I think that's why I love most of the BSC and Stoneybrook hair.

Who is most likely to get a color in their hair? Besides claudia I mean. I could see Mary Anne being rebellious and dying her hair. Stacey admitted to dying her hair red in the Chain Letter book, then dyed it back blonde before her parents came home. And of course she used Sun Lite at Sea City!

I got a balayage, so I didn't dye it (meaning put any color in) as much as we just lightened it. So there are browns and caramels where previously there was just black. I definitely have thick hair, but it's not straight. My mom and sister both have long straight hair like you're describing and I got my dad's frizzy curls. I've been watching Grey's a lot and Cristina feels like my hair twin. It's also part of the reason why Abby is my favorite sitter. I always liked that she had wild curly hair like me.

Stacey would look great with red hair...too bad she didn't keep it for a while longer. It would have been neat to have Mary Anne put dark blue or dark purple streaks in her dark hair. Maybe in my uni BSC stories, Mary Anne would put a bit of blue highlights in her hair. Hey, perhaps in honor of the 2018 "blue wave," and in 2020, Mary Anne and her family would put temporary blue highlights in their hair. ππππππππ Definitely Claudia would experiment with blue, green, magenta and purple hair streaks in high school and uni. Is it even possible to color hair twice that quickly? Especially going from anything to blonde. Maybe I could believe this if the red was wash-out color but I am skeptical of the whole thing.

It was a wash-out color...most middle-school kids I know use that instead of real dye.

It had to have been wash-out dye. I'm more intrigued about how Mallory managed to go blonde in California without bleaching her hair first!
