I think it would be fun to read about the BSC parents when they were in middle school. Especially Sharon and Richard. And maybe Claudia's parents used to be much more fun...
That would be a bit tricky since most of the Stoneybrook parents did not grow up together.
Even Richard and Sharon didn't meet until high school.
Unless the series jumped from region to region with each book.
And even that would be hard since the parents didn't know one another as children and teenagers.
Perhaps as individual portrait collection books akin to how the BSC portrait collection books were.
I suspect Elizabeth was a lot like Kristy growing up...probably even played baseball and other sports.
I have an idea that in their youth in the 1970s, before they had kids and even before they met, John and Dee were really "wild"...got drunk every so often, partied in high school and university, were sexually active with lots of different partners and perhaps even experimented with dope, then became involved in activism, so that gave them a good purpose in life.
I suspect that Rachel Stevenson along with Jon and Dee Pike was truly into activism in her youth.
I have part of an incident in one of my fanfics where in her twenties, Rachel had her hand bitten by a poisonous rattlesnake that an anti-feminist hid inside her mailbox.
Quick action from a friend saved her life and she lived to tell the tale to her twin daughters.
Alma would be great to read about also...she lived through small town life as a girl.
I imagine that Sharon and Richard were both considered "geeky" in high school by the "in" crowd.
They probably were quirky and funny and both came from quirky, odd families. 😁😁😁
I also think that since most of the BSC grew up in the 1970s, they probably were in some way active in the feminist movement, especially Rachel and Elizabeth and possibly Maureen McGill and Dee Pike.
Or maybe a series from the POV of the pets of Stoneybrook, LOL.
That would be fun!!! Booboo, Tigger and even Emily Junior would be a riot to hear from!

I was actually thinking of the pets thing! LOL.
Imagine Tigger's point of view living with Mary Anne and Richard, poor guy.
I think that would be fun...Tigger's actually very lucky.
Mary Anne takes great care of Tigger and loves him.
Booboo would be sort of akin to the Grumpy Cat as he narrarated his story.
