I just had this thought. What if the entire series had been written and done before they started selling them, but when released you could only buy them in larger chunks? Would you have preferred that they sell them like 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, etc. OR by the sitter, where you bought all of that sitter's books together regardless of how many that was? BSC: Kristy, BSC: Jessi, etc.? Or, what other grouping would you have liked to have offered?

I would have! That way I wouldn't be searching for individual books. I like the idea of them being published in chronological order and get the first super special with the first ten or where ever it was supposed to go.

I think people should be given a choice whether they want to buy bulk or individually.
Lots of people cannot afford to buy ten books at once or even five books at once.
So, it was good that the BSC books were first sold one at a time and are still available individually.
Then in addition to individual sales, have bulk packs available for people who can afford and who want to buy the books in bulk.
The key is to give a wide range of people choices, not limit people to bulk-buying only.
The Harry Potter books gave people a choice, which was great.
First they sold the books individually and still do...but now in addition, the HP books are available as a bulk pack as well.
If an author/publisher limits buying options, then they lose a lot in potential sales.
I'm glad the BSC series didn't make the mistake of limiting buying options to bulk-buying only.

I like the idea of being able to buy all of one girl’s books at once. If I ever attempt to do any sort of reread then I think that’s how I would do it. One girl at a time.

As long as it's a choice, though. Perhaps with the bulk packs, give customers a choice of packs of 1-10 and a pack of books featuring each character.
Have a huge range of choices, which would sell far more books and make more readers happier.

That’s an interesting experiment for those of us who know the series inside out; if I was new to the books I’d think I was missing pertinent details in between.
