Some of the books changed character names when translated. Do you prefer Kristy or would you have liked one of the other choices?

Christine is cute, but it would have been better with a K. Gertie is actually terrible.

Aw, Gertie was Drew Barrymore’s character in ET. It’s cute for a certain age.
I like Emma, but it’s so common.

None of these seem like Kristy to me. I actually can’t imagine her being named anything else!

Lisa, Emma, of course Christine all sound/come off as pretty similar to Kristy, also good, but I think Kristy is best.

Christine, it sounds similar to her own name but also pretty.

I wonder how Kristy feels about Kirsten Dunst, if her popularity would make her a little more positive about her full name Kristin.

Kirsten feels fancier than Kristen. Kiersten is way fancier. It doesn't suit Kristy in my eyes. (I love Kiersten Dunst)

Yeah, Kirsten and Kristen feel so different even though there’s only a two letter difference. I think both are great. I named one of my Barbies Kristen after Kristy. We also had a Barbie named Claudia Kishi. Both of them were blonde Skippers. Lol

They're two different names. Were there any popular Kristins back then?
