I would have written out Mallory in the #70's. That was when page time for her has really started declining. I would have send her to Riverbend after she had recovered from her mono.

I agree. That would have been a really natural transition for her to quit, and with Dawn leaving at the same time maybe they could have introduced a new character earlier instead of waffling for 20 books.
Mallory had so many rough patches at the end and I wish we could have saved her the misery. She deserved a fresh start.

I chose #110-119 because that's the closest to not writing her out at all. I'm not at that point in my re read, but I didn't like the Spaz Girl plot line when I was younger. Mal and Jessi deserved more late series books tbh.
Mal also seemed to be very invested in the BSC, so it's sad to see her go. In Kristy's Worst Idea, she doesn't even vote to disband the club (along with Jessi), and she's the one who wants everyone to get together.
