I can confirm -- in Sea City, Here We Come, Hannie writes a letter to Kristy telling her they both can't come to practice because they're going on vacation.

^ Thanks. I thought I remembered him being on the team and knew Hannie was. Wonder why he didn't join Little League since he was older than most of the Krushers but I guess he probably wanted to stay with DM and his friends. That's understandable. ;D

I bet there's some Greek name from which Linny could be a nickname. However, like Beezus, it could be less-than-obvious if it were derived in a similar way.

I bet there's some Greek name from which Linny could be a nickname. However, like Beezus, it could be less-than-obvious if it were derived in a similar way. the papadakises seemed to be quite formulaic in their naming for everything: myrtle the turtle and noodle the poodle, and hannie from hannah, linny from (something), and sari could be from sarah. so i'm assuming it's a name that starts with "lin," like linus.

^ I love Noodle the Poodle, Pat the Cat and Myrtle the Turtle as names. ;D I think those are some of the cutest pet names in the series.

The Papadakis kids are my absolute favorite BSC charges ever. I love reading books that they were featured in. Linny is my absolute favorite. Did he ever got a personal chapter in any of the BSC books?
(I haven't read a lot of BSC books).

^ Don’t remember a chapter in that one but I’m pretty sure he has one in Summer Vacation when he wants to be “nature boy”. I might be thinking of Karen’s Campout, but I’m almost positive it’s a book that takes place at Camp Mohawk. Might be one in Shadow Lake, though, too.

^ I know Karen, Nancy and Hannie all have chapters in Karen, Hannie and Nancy and am pretty sure that they all do in Karen's Campout, too.

I'm not sure if Linny has a chapter in Karen, Hannie, and Nancy, but he does in Karen's Campout. And Shadow Lake, I'm pretty sure.

Thanks! Gotta go hunt for that Little Sister book than. I read Shadow Lake, and Linny didn't have one.

As a child, I was always fascinated with Hannie, because of her name. I could not pronounce her last name, but I liked her first name.
