^ I'm the same way. I told one friend about the boards ages ago, but she never joined or posted.

I've only mentioned our board more in passing than anything else. It would be fun if one of us recruited a friend as a new member. I also completely admit that one of my favorite things about our board is that the same people tend to post daily or every few days, helps keeps us closer. I thought of Ann at Michael's today. The store already had some Fall and Halloween stuff out. They had a clothes-pin kit (I think it was make your own) of Wizard of Oz characters.

I was just watching Nancy Drew (2007 movie) which had Rachel Leigh Cook in it. Didn't she play MA in the BSC movie?

In stores. Ye gods, I hope no one has decorations out yet, three-plus months ahead!

Way too early for stores to have Halloween stuff out! It's bad enough they start with back to school displays immediately after July 4th.

On Paperbackswap one of the forums is for Random Acts of Kindness. There is a thread for wishes--people can request anything from stickers to a cheerful card to coupons, or maybe something they can no longer find in their area. A second related thread is for people to post things they have to offer to others each month at no cost just the feel good of sharing something and a thanks. Anyway, I saw a post by a mom sharing that her 7 year old daughter would like to get some mail. I PM-ed her back saying I'd be happy to share some stickers with her daughter. When I realized the daughter was 7, I mentioned in my letter to her that I "met" her mom on PBS because we both enjoy reading and I hoped she (daughter) does, too. I had to recommend the LS books and tell her the main character is a 7 year old named Karen. It would be awesome if she came to enjoy the books. ETA: I love that Nicky writes movie music!

If it were Jordan Pike, the one who did study piano, that would be almost eerie.
