I heard of Ding Dongs on Full House around the same time I heard of them on BSC. A little Michelle Tanner being coached to say "I played Candyland with DJ and won a ding dong!!!"

I thought the ding dong was good although I do like Twinkies better. Ding dongs were mentioned in the books so many times and I spent most of my childhood,"What on earth is a ding dong??"
Supprazz, I watched that episode just last night. It's one of my favorite episodes.

Ha ha, the sad thing is I think I can immediately remember what episode that is, and that scene in detail. Isn't DJ trying to bribe Michelle to lie because she took them to the movies when she wasn't supposed to? I've never eaten a Twinkie in my entire life. Part of me feels like it's something I need to do, and part of me feels like it's almost impressive that I've never eaten one, and I should just stick to that path.

^DJ manipulated Stephanie and Michelle into telling a little "fiblet" (i.e., getting into trouble at the movies for sneaking Stephanie and Michelle in without any tickets).

I keep seeing Mr. Clean commercials lately and thinking of how Dawn said Mr. Hill looked like him, only without the earring.

I just enjoyed some Breyers extra creamy chocolate ice cream. I thought of Claudia and a couple of my own family members who would agree, that it really was extra creamy and chocolately. But what I also liked about it (keep in mind I like only sweet chocolate, nothing bitter or dark), is that it also had a pleasant sugary taste to it. I normally get the little ice cream cups from Pavilions (Safeway in some parts of the country) because they are cheaper and also with the bigger containers of ice cream, so much generally does go to waste. I did a little taste test of the two and that also reminded me of when the BSC sampled Heath and Skor candy bars I believe in a summery book. A sweet BSC reference.

Mmm, that sounds good. My ice cream of choice is Blue Bell but I've always thought Breyer's looked nice from TV commercials The taste test scene always felt like summer to me.

I think I remember having Blue Bell when my Grandma lived in Houston. I also remember their being a local place there called Marble Slab Creamery that made an amazing chocolate mint. I had never come across that before--a mint flavored chocolate ice cream.
The taste test thing, I think was before some type of super special but could be wrong. I just remember Shannon and Logan participated too and I think Logan told us that Skor scored (won).

I was watching a Full House episode called "Spellbound". Stephanie had said that she had 'gigundo' news! I totally thought of Karen. I thought of Mallory when I was at the store. I spotted a fleece jacket with horses all over it in the women's clothing department. I can totally see Mal wearing it.

I actually had some Breyers ice cream myself the other night because it was on sale at my grocery store. I always think of Claudia when I have sweets.

I hope you enjoyed the Breyers, MsStock. Buttercup, until the BSC books I wasn't even aware of the many versions there are of similar products. Growing up I did like the hostess cupcakes and later on did enjoy the mini powdered donuts but that was it. I had no clue that depending on region the names and it sounds like the tastes/quality too, of the products could vary. I wonder if Claud ever did a taste test of similar Hostess products?

I remember I didn't even know what ding dongs even looked like (Hostess products are very hard to find around my area). Up until now, I always imagined it looking like ring pops but without the ring and much bigger, lol. Same thing with Mallomars. I always imagined it as a big, fluffy marshmallow.

Growing up, my mom stocked the kitchen as if she was expected Claudia to come for a visit, so i never had any issue figuring out what Claudia was serving at the meetings. I like drakes better than hostess, though.
