I remember watching Rocky and Bullwinkle, the Jetsons, the Flintstones, all 60s shows in the early 90s on tv. Not on Nick at Nite, we didn’t have cable.

I got curious and looked up what shows has reruns on Nick and Night and when they aired. Turns out Mr. Ed ran from 1986 - 1993, so when the BSC was new, the show was on! I'm shocked.

I didn’t have cable either, and I definitely remember a lot of old black and white shows in syndication. I watched Leave It to Beaver every morning.

Karen’s School Trip. Karen was sick in this one, so it had a lot of book and TV mentions. Books that she mentioned included Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Esio Trot by Roald Dahl. Ms. Colman was reading The Twenty-One Balloons to the class. Seth started reading Caddie Woodlawn to her. (Those two were published in 1947 and 1935. Interesting choices, Ann.)
She watched Our Miss Brooks when she was sick in the middle of the night. (I had never heard of it. It ran from 1952-56, so about the same time as Lucy.) Daytime game shows were Jeopardy, Let’s Make a Deal, and Concentration. (She wanted to be on Concentration to win a new car for Charlie. 🙂)

Jeopardy airs at night in Connecticut, what's she doing watching it in the daytime?

Don't know if it's like this everywhere, but reruns are actually called Daytime Jeopardy for us

Lol a Jeopardy forum! What does she think of the new hosts? Mayim was just fired.

Mayim has the perfect voice for TV narration but I'm pretty indifferent. Jeopardy isn't the same without Alex so I haven't watched much of either her or Ken, but if they could only have one host, Ken is the natural successor to Alex in my mind.
While we're on the topic, jeopardy also airs for me in the afternoon. 3:30pm so really easy to miss (I missed Ken's last episode because I had some extracurricular event after school and I stayed late). If you work 9-5 you'd never catch it

Jeopardy airs at 7 pm for me. I knew that Mayim has been let go (not sure if she was let go or fired) for awhile now. Wheel Of Fortune follows Jeopadry. What time does Wheel Of Fortune appear on TV in the midwest? Pat Sajak is retiring this year. Ryan Seacrest is going to be his replacement.

Mayim had chosen to stop hosting to support the writers' strike, but I didn't pay attention if she ever came back or not.
I hate Ryan Seacrest and how he is everywhere all the time. Vanna should have gotten the job.
I had to look all of these times up. I don't know the difference between these, but there is Daytime Jeopardy at 3pm (reruns?), and Jeopardy at 4:30 pm (new?).
New episodes of Wheel of Fortune are at 6:30pm.
Anyone else bugged that there are Celebrity editions of everything constantly? Jeopardy, Wheel, Family Feud, I feel like there's others and one of them is on every time I turn the TV on.
EDIT: I was going to say that being let go = being fired, but apparently it doesn't. By definition, Mayim was probably "let go" because it wasn't a disciplinary thing.

Karen’s Ice Skates. Ms. Colman had a safety unit that included reading the book Dinosaurs, Beware! I’ve never heard of it, but it’s a real book. The cover looks cute. Karen’s Twin. Karen and Audrey watched The Little Mermaid at Audrey’s house. They later went to see Aladdin in the movie theater. Aladdin premiered in theaters in November 1992. This book was published in January 1994, so the Stoneybrook theater had some stale movies playing.

Karen’s Puppet Show. Karen and Andrew watched a Tom and Jerry movie that they owned on tape. Andrew thought that they were the funniest cat and mouse ever. Just wait until he saw Itchy and Scratchy. Karen’s Tea Party. Watson said that the kids were acting like the Goops. Elizabeth pulled out an old book called Goop Tales by Gelett Burgess. It is some old, creepy looking etiquette book with bald Humpty Dumpty looking people on the cover. Not to be confused with Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand, Goop. Karen set the table for her fancy practice tea party with Andrew and Nancy. She put out Pooh Bear napkins.

Gee, Goop Tales looks ancient and quite creepy. I wonder if anyone has ever shown it to Paltrow? Or if she ever regrets the name? I know I would lol
Pooh is timeless! I love everything about Pooh.
