I loved that alcove on Full House. If I had one like it I'd turn it into the perfect reading nook. On the topic of the book cover, I like it. I think Claudia looks cute and her outfit seems rather normal. She's always described as such a "wild" dresser, but we never get to see that on any of the covers.

Now I think the cover should have been Claudia in the outfit she wore to the awards ceremony, looking glum as the Kishis exclaim over Janine's celebratory salad and cake (with her misspelled name on it )

Claudia's outfit doesn't look like a Claudia outfit.

It's kind of like the living room on The Cosby Show. They had that random chair behind the couch that no one ever sat in: Yeah, the Golden Girls also had that table set behind the couch that no one ever used, and there was that little book in full house that Joey lived in that they basically never used after that. I guess it's just to add depth to the set. I think, I saw Rudy or one of the Huxtable sitting in that pink chair. Mostly, no one sits in that chair. it's more likely a decoration for the living room. For the Golden Girls. Are you talking about the table right behind the couch, or further back table? Cause, the one behind the couch. That's were they put their mail or other small items on that table. Maybe, I will rewatch one of the episodes of Golden Girls, see, if any of the girls used that table behind the couch. Back to topic. I notices the fruit on the end table. That must be fake fruit. If, it was real fruit, that bowl will be empty with that big family. Charlie & Sam, who are in high school. Will be hungry all the time. The thing next to it. Not sure, what that is. The golden chair. Looks like 70's chair. That must be Mr. Brewer's chair. I felt like, I seen that chair on one of the old tv shows. Not sure, which tv show.

I meant the one that appears to be a different room in the house sort of, very far back.

I know that Sophia has sat there a few times. Once, Dorothy wakes up in the middle of the night to be startled by her sitting there in the dark. Another time, Sophia is tied up in the chair and Dorothy, Blanche an Rose find her when they get home. I might be able to think of others later...

Wonder, what other tv show, shows a furniture in the background. Just in the background for decorations.

Wonder, what other tv show, shows a furniture in the background. Just in the background for decorations. I think most sitcoms that have that kind of setup do. On the Big Bang theory they mocked this a few weeks ago, actually.

NEXT: Was it after this book that Mallory cut her hair, or was it, long, and then short, and then long again and then short through the series? Jessi looks odd. Dawn's hair isn't LONG at all.

Mallory does look pretty here, although I don't like the yellow pants, especially with that pink sweater. Not digging Jessi's hair; bangs are never flattering on her, and I think her hair looks best when in her ballerina's bun. As usual, Dawn's hair is shorter and yellower than described. She looks very pretty. Overall, Jessi and Dawn both look like they used different models than usual here. Whenever this cover comes up, people seem to talk about how Mal's pants look weird, like her lower half is on backwards or something. The boy on the ground (blond Nicky?) looks like a wounded soldier who just lost a leg.

Does look like Mallory is backwards. Her head looks like, it's coming off to the side. Nicky looks like wounded Solider. Claire or Margo is helping him, covering his other leg. Them playing in the leaves. Looks so much fun to do.

Nicky's hair is too blond here. All the Pikes are supposed to have "chestnut brown" hair, except for Mallory. This was probably discussed in the inconsistencies thread, but didn't Mallory also say her hair was that shade of brown in #14 when she was describing her family? I do remember her saying she was the only one with curly hair, though. Not sure at what point in the series she morphed into a redhead.

The only other Pike curly hair moment I remember is in #13 when Mal's siblings are playing secret agents, Jordan has curly hair. Good memory, Candykane :)I checked and Mal does describe her family just that way in #14. It's on page 3. In this book cover Nicky's hair to me looks a little reddish-blond. What is Mallory wearing? Thin yellow sweats or leggings with a yellow shirt under a dark magenta closer to purple sweater or is the bottom of the sweater yellow? That actually might be cute to have an extra color at the bottom of a shirt, in this case sweater. Perhaps a little different but an 80's/90's thing.

I always thought she was wearing flat-front khakis that didn't fit properly. There's no line on the left that would indicate any of the yellow isn't a part of the pants.
