^ Yeah it has the distinctive "final" feel. Although it's nowhere near as depressing as Graduation Day, it's still really sad.

Ugh, this book is one of my favorites and least favorites at the same time. I just reread Mary Anne and the Secret in the Attic. When she got the letter from her mom, all I could think about was "Wow, I'm glad Richard didn't wait until she was 16".

I think this may be the only one I've read only one time, just because it depresses me too much.

Ugh, this book is one of my favorites and least favorites at the same time. I just reread Mary Anne and the Secret in the Attic. When she got the letter from her mom, all I could think about was "Wow, I'm glad Richard didn't wait until she was 16". I never thought of this. That makes it even sadder. I don't think I can stand to read Graduation Day if it has an even more final feel than this one. Just talking about it depresses me. I want the BSC to last forever - at least in my mind and life ;D

Wasn't the fire caused by a wire being broken or something? This book scared me because of that, because I don't know how to check to see if any of the wires in my house is broken, so I don't know if a fire might start.

^Yeah, their wiring wasn't up to code. That always scared me too. After I read this book I immediately asked my mom if our wiring was okay, lol.

I know this sounds odd but when I read this book, I kept thinking, if only they had just all moved into the Spiers' original house on Bradford Court instead of stupid old Burnt Hill Road when Sharon and Richard got married...

^Yeah I think it was in Mary Anne and the Great Romance, they say that Dawn's house actually had more room than the Spier's house. Which begs the question...how freaking tiny WAS the Spier house?

^^maybe it was. I always got the impression that Dawn's little farmhouse was really tiny. Maybe I assumed MA's house was bigger because it was on Bradford Court with Kristy's house that housed her, her brothers, and her mom, and Claudia's house that seemed relatively big as well. Hmmmm...ignore me.

I think I read that Dawn's house was bigger but you never know with all the inconsistences. I think the houses changed sizes as needed ;D

The Spiers must have only had a three bedroom house because I remember in Mary Anne and the Great Romance Richard telling Mary Anne that if the Schafers moved in with them, Dawn and Mary Anne would have to share a room every time Jeff came to visit. But then, Dawn and Mary Anne tried to share a room anyway and that didn't work out. ;D

^They should have just moved into the Spier house, then. I mean, how much would it really have inconvenienced the girls to share a room for the week or so Jeff would stay on a visit? Oh wait...I forgot we're talking about Mary Anne and her closeted inner b*tch. ;D

Maybe it wasn't actually bigger in size but in rooms. I know it is mentioned that the rooms are tiny in Dawn's house (or maybe that is just the doorways and ceilings being low). No matter what, it sounded like a cool house. I was so sad it burned. Wonder what happened to the passage.
