i think dawn was mad at ma for not caring about the trials and tribulations of sucking at winter sports, including monopoly.

Thanks. Sounds like Dawn was being a bit harsh on MA (as she sometimes is) but I'll have to reread before coming to a conclusion on that. I don't like this one, though, so it could be a while. But I do have to admit this thread has raised my curiousity. ;D

MA and Dawn were both ridiculous in this book but I thought Dawn was the most annoying with her constant complaining about the skating and junk. Like no one cares if you suck at it Dawn. We don't feel bad for you.

^ Haha, totally. I didn't feel any sympathy for Dawn when she got mad at Mary Anne. Get over it, Dawn! You're supposed to be "individual" and you're not supposed to care what other people think of you!

I kind of felt bad for her, though, when she kept falling down in front of all those kids, and then when Alan Gray threw a snowball at her. Embarrassing.

I felt bad for her, but surely she cant be the only one who sucked? She was prolly making a bigger deal out of it than it was.

Thinking about MA's mental scenarios about Logan in Aruba with another girl reminded me of MA vs. Logan where she creates a fictitious new girlfriend for him in her mind and worries about it on Valentine's Day when she is really the one he is going out with. This always kind of makes me laugh how MA creates something for herself to worry about but I can't laugh too much because I tend to do the same thing (though maybe not to the same degree) ;D

I think Mary Anne and Dawn were both at fault for their fight. It seemed like they were both upset about different things and neither one wanted to listen to the other one.

^ I don't remember them? Were they quite scary (though I think I probably would have remembered if I had been scared. Still, it's been a while since I've read it)? If so, maybe I should reread this one with my Halloween books coming up soon.

^ I ALWAYS hated that they gave up their vacation to room with the kids. I don't think I would have done the same. Me either, I'd hate giving up my vacation to watch a bunch of little kids. If I were one of the BSC in that book, I probably would've pushed Kristy into a snowbank for even opening her big mouth about doing that. I also couldn't believe Kristy when Mrs. George was saying that watching the kids would be like giving up their vacation and Kristy says something along the lines of, "Oh, it wouldn't be like giving up our vacation, it'll be fun and you and Mr. George do so much for us that it would be rude not to do this," I mean yes, it was sweet but what 13 year old would actually say that? Oh and Mary Anne's historian role was totally boring .
