^ I googled "Misty of Chincoteague forum" and didn't really find anything. I suppose it's up to Mal and Jessi to start one...

I think Kristy would be pretty much the same, but she would trade out her turtleneck and sweater set for a hoodie or a tee-shirt hoodie combo. Claudia would be into graphic novels, which her parents would hate. She also would be into anime, maybe. Mary Anne would be the same, lots of j.crew, gap clothes. Her look never really went out of style. I can't image what they would have claudia wear so that she could show her art off.
Stacey would be as someone up there described, with the latest blackberry or sidekick, and spend the mornings straightening her hair. Mallory, would also try to do that, but her hair wouldn't hold all day, so mid day it just looks weird. She wants to get her hair chemically relaxed, but her parents say no. They also say no to colored contacts and laser surgery (with good reason on the LASIX). Maybe they could be 12 and 14, because the idea of 11 year olds baby-sitting freaks me out.
Jessi would have an iPod, and start experimenting with other types of dancing. I bet we would get and Extra Special Book where we learn about her history with step-shows.
I think Dawn would be more "urban hippie" in her attire. I think she would be more likely to start up some sort enviromental club, and tell people how straightening their hair is bad for it. Logan would be the same I think. He didn't do anything too dated. Shannon either.

Oh, I also see them starting an online forum so they can read and update the "notebook" at home, thus saving meeting times.

^ I can't stand them, either. They choke me, which is why I always found it strange that Kristy wore them for comfort. T-shirts and sweatshirts I can see - those are my "uniform." ;D

kristy, i agree, would be the same minus the turtlenecks
mary anne would have a livejournal and spend lots of time on cuteoverload.com
stacey would straighten her hair and wear a lot of american apparel and go to hipster dance nights like the misshapes in new york
claudia i see as sort of a karen o. from the yeah yeah yeahs fashion-inspired. crazy, but the "it looks good on her" crazy like that cory kennedy girl
mallory would dress up for harry potter book release nights and become furious when she finds out that j.k rowling did not actually attend a school for wizards and did not actually know someone like hermione granger
jessi would still be black. sorry, i don't really know. so much of her personality was just "she's a dancer". maybe she would go with stacey to misshapes.
dawn would have "no blood for oil" pins on her bag and shop at trader joe's. she would also brag about not shaving, but since her hair is so fine and blonde it wouldn't matter anyway (as i've experienced with most of the girls who brag about not shaving...)
good topic! i'll think of more later.

I could see Mallory on Xanga constantly whining about how her parents treat her like a baby.

Oh God Mallory would probably go on chatrooms and put a picture of Stacey or someone instead of her own because she feels ugly... then maybe a token book on the dangers of internet chatrooms

Nah, she would just probably want to put the best pic of her possible up. She would probably take ages to do her hair, put on makeup, pick an outfit, etc.

Stacey would have the latest designer bag and probably wear those bracelets from Tiffany's.

This thread amused me a lot today, which I needed. I think Stacey would have all the latest designer bags, and designer everything. I can really see MA watching all the reality shows as well, she seemed to like all the Hollywood stuff, even though thats not really Hollywood.
About Kristy and the turtlenecks, I never got it either, they are always so uncomfortable to me as well! I much prefer hoodies and t shirts for comfort.

I don't understand how Kristy could wear turtlenecks all the time. I can't stand wearing them, they're way too uncomfortable.
