Never a fan of these three. They seemed like nasty little bullies. And the fact that they accepted Mal's authority will forever perplex me.

I thought they were horrible to Nicky and that bugged me. I understand he's the "little brother", but I always felt bad for him cause those 3 picked on him SO much. I think Byron would be okay if it wasn't for the influence of Adam/Jordan cause he was always depicted as a bit more sensitive than his brothers. They should've explored a bit of a Byron/Nicky storyline or something, cause I think those 2 would get on well if it weren't for Adam/Jordan.

I think it would have been neat if there were subplots that dealt with one or two of the triplets only. It seemed to get so boring how they are always bunched together as a unit.

Agreed. I can't distinguish between Adam and Jordan. I also find them, especially Adam and Jordan, to be brats. I would have liked more scenes between Nickey and Byron too as I did often feel bad for both of them. It's too bad they didn't give each boy a different personality instead of always lumping them together as the "triplets".

Yeah, I never liked how the triplets were always 'the triplets' - always playing together (did they ever fight?), always this 'unit' thing going on. I really felt for poor Nicky. It would've been nice if the triplets would've had different personalities - in spite of sometimes mentioning Byron was 'a little bit more sensitive than his brothers some times'. And didn't one of them take piano lessons?

It was funny how in Mallory and Trouble with Twins she was talking about her brothers to the Arnold girls and she said "no one ever treats them like one person"and thinking that wasn't exactly true. Okay, maybe they didn't dress identically, but they were ALWAYS "Adam-Byron-and-Jordan" rather than simply individual siblings.
Also, remember how Jeff was friends with the "Pike Triplets"? Why couldn't he have just been friends with Adam or someone? Why were they always a threesome?

Why were they always a threesome? *cough* Maybe Jeff preferred it that way.

It makes sense that everyone refers to them only as "the triplets". I have an identical twin sister and growing up we were ALWAYS "the twins." Even to this day at 22 years old we're "the twins" to most people. We always had friends in common and even if she was better friends with someone than I was, if that friend invited her to do something, the most often invited me as well, because we were twins. Its only natural to lump the triplets together.

Yeah I guess . . . but why did Ann want to separate Marilyn and Carolyn by giving them 2 different personalities. Well, then again, they are lumped together because if one is talked about then the other one will be also.

I don't mind that they call them the triplets for convenience sake but wish that they would do the same that they do with the Arnold twins, Abby and Anna and the Wakefield twins in Sweet Valley books - you know the whole spiel about how they are identical in looks but have drastically different personalities. I just would like to be able to tell Jordan and Adam apart. But I guess maybe they don't have different personalities.

^ I just never know why Mallory made a point of saying no one lumps the triplets together and treats them like one person when she was having the trouble with Marilyn and Carolyn. Wouldn't it have made more sense to say her brothers deal with the same issue of not being given seperate identities and so Mallory understands the twins' problem?

I think Marilyn and Carolyn are separated more because, well, that was their entire first story line. So from then on, that gets mentioned when M&C are mentioned. There isn't much of a need to distinguish the triplets because they don't get their own storylines.
And, Abby is a main character, so obviously they will distinguish her from Anna.
I never understood why Mal said that to the twins though, either, because the triplets really never are separated from each other.

Maybe Ann doesn't really know how to give boys differing personalities? I dunno.

^ that's entirely possible. Doesn't seem like she'd know a great deal about males.
