I bet he grew up to be really hot, in a blond, stereotypical Calfornia way. In all seriousness, I liked him more than most of the other BSC siblings. He seemed like an actual 10 year old boy.

I can definitely see Jeff being hot when he grows up, but overall he bugged me. I hated him in Island Adventure. It was so annoying how he was Dawn and Claudia's perfect little helper. I liked his relationship with Dawn a lot. It was sweet, if not a little unrealistic. (Most 13 years old aren't that fond of their 10 year old brothers.)

I think part of the 'fondness' comes from the fact that Jeff lives on the other side of the country. Dawn and Jeff got into fights when he still lived in Stoneybrook, but when he moved away, they got along better: they weren't with each other 24/7, they probably missed each other, etc.

Jeff bugged me, too! I don't understand all the Jeff-love. I thought he was whiney and annoying and if he wasn't being a total pill, he was being the perfect little boy (SS#4). He was a drama queen, everything that happened to him brought on an OMGGGG MY LIFE SUCKS! type of reaction.

^That's true, Jeff could be quite emo for a 10-year-old!
Inge, great point about Jeff living across the country.
When Jeff got into those fights at school...did he win them? Because I could totally see him getting his ass kicked when he tried to be all tough and rebellious.

I think Jeff would get his ass kicked too! I don't buy the whole OMG it's soooo hard moving from CA to Stoneybrook thing as an excuse for getting in fights. My family moved from North Dakota to Arizona when I was 10 and I never got in any fights because of it. Mostly I was excited to see palm trees in person. lol. I know there aren't palm trees in CT, but he could've been excited to see snow or something.

Wow...maybe I'm the only one who liked Jeff. Maybe it was the fact that his relationship with Dawn reminded me of my relationship with my brother. We're a lot further apart in age (8 years), but we've always had a good relationship.

Not that it's an excuse but I don't think he was just unhappy about having to move.

Yeah, I thought of the divorce thing after i posted, lol. I can understand that, but then maybe that is something that should've been discussed BEFORE dragging him to CT.

That was so dumb that they didn't even bother discussing it. It was all "we're boarding the plane next week to live on the other side of the country from now on and I really don't care whether you want to or not."

jeff was a whiney little b*tch most of the time, but i guess we r meant to feel sorry for him or something. i only liked him in the SS when they get stuck on the island and also the one where dawn and jeffs dad gets remarried to carol.
i had extra hate for him in Dawns Family fued, what a little not a very nice person!

Agree with your assessment of Jeff. Don't remember if it was Dawn's Family Feud or another one where I thought he was especially awful to Richard. I always thought Richard tried to be good to Jeff. So what that Richard wasn't good at sports - at least he was trying. Jeff tended to treat him like crap in the books I read. I don't like the kid much in the stories that talk about him with his family. He's okay in some of the other ones but for the most part, not a Jeff fan and not sad that he went back to CA.

Jeff did seem like a rude, disrespectful little smarta** a lot of the time, but he also had a certain charm and could be quite funny, so I didn't mind him as a character too much. He was much nicer than the Pike triplets IMO.

The two of us actually are three years apart, too.

I didn't mind him in "Dawn and too many sitters". He was a typical 10 year old boy who could be annoying sometimes and others cute.
