I like this episode, it's really cute. I especially liked the part when the girls run into each other at the department store and Dawn tells Claudia that she looks like the phantom of the bathtub. ;D
One thing that I'm ambivalent about is the whole thing with Kristy doing chores to get her baseball golve. It's Christmas! I know that it was expensive, but Watson's a millionaire and Elizabeth seems to do quite well for herself too. I get that they're big on not spoiling the kids, and I think that's great, but I also don't think Kristy should have worked her butt off to get a Christmas present. I did have to laugh when Kristy accidentally stepped in the bucket of soapy water when she was washing the windows, it's something I would do. ;D

Yeah, but $150 in 1990 is more like $230 - $300 in "today's" dollars.
It's still not a lot for a millionaire, but I think that Elizabeth didn't want Watson to support her children from a previous marriage.

on the subject of bows...we've done that a few times. It was actually really pretty. When I was in texas for christmas when I was sixteen, instead of a christmas tree we got a palm tree...haha... and decorated it with bows cause there was no way it could hold ornaments.

what was $150, the baseball glove? (i must've missed them say how much it was. That does seem like a lot, especially considering she turns around and gives it away.

Well, it's a rough estimate based on inflation and difference in the GDP, and minimum wage. It's kind of scary, actually, thinking about the economy and the value of a dollar.

I just finished this yesterday, and I really liked it!!! I watched bits of it yesterday. I was a little taken back by how snarky the BSC was when Stacey was "late." Also, how in the heck did Stacy and the BSC not realize she was headed in a bad direction when she was drinking a whole pitcher of water. Yeah,me too.
