^Me too. I don't understand why Claud's so mean to her. And why the sitters try everything just to avoid Janine. It's like she's some kind of monster. Well,she isn't. I think she's a great sister.  |

Another really nice thing I just read about Janine doing was in Genius of Elm Street when she not only comes right away to help Rosie every time Claudia calls but then she buys Claudia's milk duds painting.  |

i think its in book #2..Claudia and the phantom phone calls....where Claudia "curls up" with a nancy drew book, and then she mentions to Janine who just came in to the room that when they were smaller they would hide under a blanket (i think) and they would pretend they were camping. janine said that they were really scared. then, out of the blue, Janine says "Isn't it interesting how the fear process works?" then she starts explaining....

I wish Janine would have had one person she was closer with (though Claudia makes it out like she was closer with their parents, I don't really see this. The way I see it, Claudia had Mimi and Peaches and Janine didn't really have anyone.
