^ Glad I'm not alone. ;D I think I just can't relate to her - to any of the CA Diaries characters. Not the series for me. ;D Thanks for answering my questions, though, everyone. ;D

^Yeah. I'm kinda wondering in CD#1 why Maggie didn't even blush when she got up from the swimming pool then saw Justin staring at her. Maybe I should post this in the CD thread though. ;D

It's possible for some people to get embarrassed without blushing.

^ I don't think I blush. Not sure, though, as I obviously can't see my own face. ;D At least no one has ever told me I blush (of course, it also takes a lot to embarrass me ;D)

Sometimes I will, and I'll feel it, because I'll feel my face turning red.

It's possible for some people to get embarrassed without blushing. Well,I think she can gasp or scream. C'mon, a guy saw her like that!

Well, she did seem nervous while she was still in the pool and Dawn had to encourage her to get out. I think her reaction after that just wasn't apparent to the reader, but we can come to the conclusion that it was embarrassing for her even if she didn't gasp or scream. She might have thought that would only draw more attention to her anyway.

Jill- recently I read Here Come The Bridesmaids and Dawn makes a comment along the lines of how young Jill can act sometimes. Dawn diary one is very odd in that we get this sudden change of character for no reason. I think it would've been better if there were comments as to how young Jill is acting, and Maggie changing her look etc, but I thought it was realistic that the girls moved on from Jill.
Maggie- I know a lot of girls like Maggie, so her behaviour isn't that grating. But reading her second diary is very triggering, not the ED part, but the desire to be perfect.
Sunny- for the life of me, I have no idea why Dawn and Sunny are friends. In the BSC, Sunny has so little personality, and in CD, she goes into this complete 13 like spinning out of control aspect of life that it scares me.

I haven't really gotten to know Jill, Maggie, and Sunny. From Dawn's point of view, they sound like the good friends. I felt bad when Sunny's mother died of lung cancer.

It also mentions in SS#14 that Jill is "thirteen going on eleven", but that sounds more like a loving thing one would say about a friend than anything bitchy.

I like reading about them but I find it a little sad because I know what's going to happen to them in California Diaries.

I'm not fussed about them, they all seem pretty bland to me (I haven't read CD yet). However, I do like Sunny, mainly from Dawn's Portrait book, and she was okay in FF too.
