I'm the same way. My vision is total crap (-3.75 left eye, -5.00 right eye, for those of you who know what your prescriptions are) so if I wear glasses I have pretty much zero peripheral vision.

I don't like that much either, but ever since I got new glasses, I've been wearing them a lot more, and it hasn't been too much of a problem. Having dry, itchy eyes and needing to rub them and ruining eye makeup while wearing contacts is more of a bother for me.

I definitely prefer glasses to contacts. I can't really read with my contacts in, so that's a pain. I do like to wear contacts on sunny days though, so I can wear sunglasses. It's also annoying when you come into somewhere from outside and your glasses fog up.
I've been wearing glasses since I was three, so I don't notice the peripheral vision thing.

^I always wondered how little little kids are tested for vision problems. Do they sit in the chair and looks at shapes and colors instead of words? At three I was too shy to talk to a strange doctor person so I would have been a nightmare patient.

They showed us videos and stuff? I don't really remember. I could read by the time I was three though. On Jon and Kate + 8 they used symbols.

Having dry, itchy eyes and needing to rub them and ruining eye makeup while wearing contacts is more of a bother for me. I have the opposite problem. My eyes get really watery and itchy if I DON'T have my contacts in. I almost want to ask someone about that, because I'm pretty sure it's not normal.
