Mary Anne - pre-bob "Kristy's Great Idea," after-bobbed haircut "Fire At Mary Anne's House" Comment: She has that "ravaged" look that I like. Dawn: "Ghost at Dawn's House" definitely Mallory - "The All New Mallory Pike" Comment: That p.o.ed, pouty look is spot on. Stacey: "Stacey's Lie" Comment: Stacey in casual attire gave me a more "real" impression of how she looks. Kristy: "Jessi and the Bad Babysitter" Comment: Kristy looked kind of plump in this which is realistic because of how much I presume she likes to eat hamburgers and such. Claudia - "Claudia Kishi, Live From WSTO" Jessi "Jessi and the Dance School Phantom" Abby: "Welcome to the BSC, Abby" Comment - the picture actually emphasized how tall she is, of which I appreciated. I mean, isn't she supposed to be like 5' 10'' and Kristy's supposed be 5' 0"?

I always pictured Watson as looking very much like Victor Garber as Daddy Warbucks in the 1999 TV version of Annie.
Kinda stereotypical? Okay.

I've always been startled by Hannie's having pigtails. I'm not quite sure how I did picture her but that wasn't it.

I don't think I've seen an illustration of Hannie without pigtails, and I've been reading the books for years and years! It's her signature style.

Heehee, Hanie's signature style! I never thought about it, but it's true! How I picture the BSC: Kristy: The Babysitters Remember. Except she doesn't look short in that cover. Claudia: Dawn's Big Move. The oversize flowered shirt, beret, leggings, and cowboy boots are all there! Need I say more? Stacey: Stacey's Secret Friend. Except I picture her in the blue sundress she describes in Stacey's Big Crush. Yes, I'm weird. Mary Ann: A cross between Mary Anne and the Haunted Bookstore and The Fire at Mary Anne's House. 'Nuff said. Dawn: Dawn's Big Date. Possibly my favorite BSC book ever. I love how Dawn looks on this cover, even though she's making a weird face. Mallory: Poor Mallory! This is one of my fave's, so I always picture Mal like this (except as an actual 11 year old, because she kinda looks like a 25 year old, IMO. LOL). Jessi: Jessi and the Dance School Phantom. Her legs looks like long, dancer's legs, but I picture her skin tone to be much darker than it is on the cover. Logan: Cross between Mary Ann Versus Logan and movie Logan. Might I add that Logan looks pretty fugly on most covers? Shannon: Kristy and The Snobs and Kristy's Mystery Admirer. She looks pretty much the same on both covers. Abby: Abby's Twin. She looks so pretty on the cover.

I guess I just never paid that much attention to Hannie's pictures.

I always picture Hannie as looking just the way she does on the covers.

I think I somehow got mixed up with one of the illustrations in #15. I mistook Hannie for Natalie in the picture where Karen's showing a Valentine to Hannie, and that threw me.
