I hate comic sans because people tend to use it in places where it's just not appropriate. I mean, it's called COMIC sans because it was designed for comic books and the like. Not syllabi or term papers. *grumble grumble grumble* bancomicsans.com/

I hate it too. I couldn't even imagine, ever, even considering turning in a paper using anything other then a standard typeface. Why would you risk it?
But people do. And then when the teacher marks them down, they complain, and say stuff like " I wrote the paper. I did the assignment, what does it matter what the type looks like?"

^ Haha, greer. I told my students that I want their papers in a serif font like Times New Roman or Courier New. And that I was fully aware that one was bigger than the other, so they weren't putting anything over me.

Most of my teachers will specifically specify times new roman, 12. this is particularly annoying for russian papers because cyrllic is very compact in times new roman.

comic sans is my least favorite. Really? It's actually my favorite, maybe because it used to be so uncommon. Now it's being overused, so I'll probably find a new favorite soon.

^ They don't say exactly what she says but Stacey just says she can't repeat it. I was kind of surprised but liked it because found it realistic. ;D

^Dawn's mother also cursed in the SS Snowbound. When she hits the cow mailbox or something. I think Dawn says the trip of full of them if I remember correctly.

It's been a while since I read Snowbound, but I definitely remember the swearing in Sea City, Here We Come. I thought it was really realistic, too, ain. The whole trip was a disaster for Mrs. B., and it seemed like most normal adults would probably be swearing up a storm, kids or no. (At least I would, anyway.)

I think we can also assume Claudia swears in Island Adventure when they're in the middle of their race...it's windy and Dawn can't hear her, but she can tell that she is "saying words she's not supposed to."
