Besides the Disney World super special, I actually like all the Stacey in NY books. I'm a bit like Mary-Anne in my love of the city.

^ I feel the same way about London, but I didn't actually enjoy their trip there in Super Special 15.

Like almost everyone, I love Boy-Crazy Stacey and Mary Anne and Too Many Boys. I've only read Sea City, Here We Come! once and didn't care for it at all. For me, so many Stoneybrookites being there ruins some of Sea City's specialness. I like it being a Stacey-and-Mary-Anne thing and seeing their friendship featured without the other girls around.
Another favorite is when Stacey and her parents visit the island in Stacey's Portrait.

Speaking of vacation destinations in the Potrait collection, where does Abby's family vacation? I've only read that once and think it was some kind of island they went to and didn't have much fun or interact. It sounded like kind of a nice vacation spot, although not one of my favorites. Couldn't remember where it was, though.

I thought the Disney world/cruise that was portrayed in Baby-Sitter's on Board was better then the actual experience. Disney is soo cheesy and over the top and crowded and the rides are boring... but that book made it sound so fun! Also, the cruise ship sounded way better then the actual disney cruise line where all they want you to do is eat, sun yourself, and eat some more. I also liked their trip to Boston in Dawn's Family Feud. Once again, the things they did sounded more fun than any of the times I've been to Boston. (which is, i think once). The only chapter of the New York City one was teh chapter where Dawn goes to SoHo and Little Italy. (right? I know she goes to SoHo). I get so annoyed with all the central park/fifth avenue/hard rock cafe (seriously wtf?) in the NYC books.

^ As to Disney, to each his own, I guess. I love it, which is why I think this book is my favorite. Same with Boston. I'm rereading that one right now. Does the BSC ever go to DC? I would like to see that but I don't think they ever did go.

^plus, aren't there hard rock cafe's in like every city? I've never been, and I don't get teh impression that it's the height of dibbledom..
I love D.C. Someday, I'm going to live there. 1600 Pennsylvania avenue. (j/k)

Does the BSC ever go to DC? I would like to see that but I don't think they ever did go. No, they never did go and it would've been cool to see that, I agree. The closest to a DC trip is when the Thomas-Brewer clan goes in the LS book, Karen's President (their experience in DC was more fun than mine; when I went it was like 115 degrees and we kept getting lost and we couldn't get in the White House let alone meet the president : . My favorite non-Stoneybrook books would have to be all the Sea City books, Dawn on the Coast, Stacey's Lie (loved Fire Island and the chapter in Abby's Book where they go to Sanibel Island.
