^ I do remember Karen's President. It's one of my favorites. ;D I had the same experience with it being 115 degrees when I went to DC and we didn't make it to the White House but just drove past. Would like to go back to DC someday soon.

I would love to go back to DC again someday too. When I went in 7th grade we were supposed to take a tour of the White House, but didn't get to because we had to leave early because some of the kids got caught playing strip poker.

Kristy and Abby DO go to Washington DC in Kristy and the Kidnapper in the FF series... it's one of the better FF books (that i've heard... i haven't read many of them)

I love when Claudia, Stacey, and Abby visit Philadelphia (aka Hermosa Beach). ;D I like that one, too, and am just about to reread. Right now I'm rereading European Vacation as I need a vacation. ;D

I loved Stacey's Mistake. Fill-it-mig-nun, haha. And who could forget the Bloomingdale's guard coming after Mary Anne when she pocketed a sample from the makeup counter. Guess the stores in Stoneybrook didn't have samples. At the time it came out I was obsessed with NYC. I used to check the Fodor's Guides out from the library and I read every book I could get my hands on that took place there. Some of the Super Mysteries took place outside of Stoneybrook. If I remember right Babysitters Haunted House was set in Maine and in Babysitters Fright Night they went to Salem, Mass. I read Fright Night years ago, I'll have to reread it soon. I've always been fascinated by the Salem witch trials and I want to see the BSC take on them.

I love the Sea City books. I always picture it looking like Myrtle Beach or something. I also loved the European vacation book, because I've always wanted to visit Paris & London.

Does SS#4 (Island Adventure) count here? Most of the action took place on "Nine o' Clock Island" in that book. Technically I guess they were still in Connecticut, but not actually in Stoneybrook.
I also enjoy the Sea City books. Out of all of them, I like Boy-Crazy Stacey the best.

I love Sea City books, and I really wish it were a real place. But my favorites are the ones where they go to California, because I love when they come visit me! Especially the times they make it up to San Francisco, which I believe is only Dawn's Portrait and in SS#14.

Sea City because it's right on the ocean and because the fun "touristy stuff" seems to be along a boardwalk rather than defacing the ocean line itself. I've also always wanted to go to such a place.

Being from Australia, the BSC mainly was how I learnt about America. Once I got a little older and started watching TV and reading other books this changed, but the BSC was my geogracphical and cultural guide to the US as a kid. That said, I love all the books I've read outside Stoneybrook

Jessi does go back to Oakley, in the book BSC in the USA! Great book by the way. They stop by Oakley, and see her grandma. There is also a big stero type in the book (because she's African American) when they visit Oakley. I can't even believe Ann wrote that!
