I chose Mrs. McGill. I love the moments when she and Stacey bond, like in SS #7. Also...I had no idea that Mrs. Ramsey's name was Janice and Mrs. Kilbourne's was Kathy.

I chose Mrs. Brewer/Thomas. I love the way she interacted with her kids, especially before she married Watson.

I love Mrs Ramsey. I've read a couple of Jessi books lately, so I guess she was foremost in my mind, but Jessi always seemed comfortable going to her for advice.

Re: Mrs. Kishi and Mrs. Ramsey...interesting that one has so many votes and one has so few (I'm not counting Mrs. Stevenson and Mrs. Bruno, who have none, understandably). To me these two always seemed to fade into the background the most. We always heard a lot about Elizabeth, Maureen, Dee, and Sharon. Now, I think Mrs. Ramsey seems like a great mom, really comforting when her kids need her. Mrs. Kishi can also be the same way. I think she's so popular because she's the most underappreciated mom.

We do see a lot more of Mrs. Kishi than Mrs. Ramsey though, perhaps because Claud has so many more books than Jessi.

I think Mrs. Ramsey might have been my second choice...I always like reading about Ramsey family interactions.

I really liked reading about them! Both Mrs. Ramsey and Mrs. Kishi always seem to be level-headed, fair and give good advice.

I think I like Mrs. Kishi, but it's hard to know; I may also just want her to be like my Japanese bibliophile friend who's old enough to be my mother. (My friend's name, however, is Hikari).

I voted for Maureen, I loved how independant she was, even though she had it tough. Plus, not remarrying was a breath of fresh air, although she did date Mr Prezzioso... Ooops, haha, fanfic!

I like that about Stacey's mom too, Kylie. I don't like the whole quick remarriage thing in Stoneybrook. I don't think it's THAT easy to get back into the dating pool when you're saddled with a bunch of kids and are, well, older.

I would go with Elizabeth. She was a great mother and friend to Kristy and her brothers.

Not such a great step-mum... Like the time she took away Karen's allowance for not doing chores?! Lol, just kidding.

I like Mrs. Kishi, I don't know why, I've just always liked her.

I chose Mrs. Kishi. She was a lot more supportive and encouraging than Claudia made her out to be.
Mrs. Pike would have been my second choice, then I remembered how she treats Mallory like the live-in nanny!

It's a tough one. I always liked reading about the close bond and interaction between Maureen and Stacey. It reminded me of my mother and I, my father died when I was 12 and it with my siblings being 18 & 20 years older than me, it was just me and her a lot. Stacey has a lot of independance, but still isn't exactly aloud to run totally wild. And any good mother would be on her back about the diabetes if it were her child. I don't know a great deal about Mrs Kishi, but she isn't such a bad mother for being tough on Claud about her grades. It's Claudia and her future that's her concern. And having a kid you know is smart but isn't doing well would be frustrating! Mrs Ramsey seems so sweet and loving to her children and very supportive. (Mr Ramsey sounds like a great father too.) The both of them were great with Jessi in 'horrible prank'. Three way tie for me. She isn't exactly my favourite, but I have a lot of respect for Elizabeth and what she had to deal with pre Watson. A lot of women, and understandably so could have just completely fallen apart after their husband bails on them with 3 reasonably young kids and a newborn. I liked how Kristy says in 'great idea' how she tries to spend a little alone time with each of them every day.
