I think Mr and Mrs Pike probably make a great couple. You don't see much interaction with them but they must have great senses of humor and enjoy one another to deal with the crazy house they live in.

^ You'd have to have good communication to handle all those kids as well as they do. I really like the interaction between them that the books do show and wish it featured the Pikes as a couple more.

I voted for the Pikes. I feel like Watson and Elizabeth get along just as well, but at the same time, it's almost too well for them -- they've been married for barely a year in BSC time, no? So I guess part of it can be chalked up to still being newlyweds, really, while the Pikes have a genuinely good relationship, since they've definitely had enough time to see each other's flaws.

I voted for the Ramseys just because I really like the whole Ramsey family dymanic and think their relationships with each other weren't explored enough. They seemed like a really close, fun family. I mean we had to deal with countless subplots about the friggin Thomas-Brewers and Pikes, why not the Ramseys ever?! I totally agree. I just reread Superbrat and I loved Jessi's family.

Watson/Elizabeth is sweet, but my favorite is Richard/Sharon.

The high school sweetheart thing makes me feel nausous, lol. I would never vote for Richard/Sharon. I still can't believe they are together and don't believe at all Richard could honestly put up with living w/ her. I mean he won't let Mary Anne say "yeah" but then maaaagically he is okay with shoes popping up in the oven? Right.

^Richard actually said the word "yeah" himself in Mary Anne's Book. ;D

Haha, I see that as quite different though. What soem ppl expect from their kids, and what they allow in friends/partners, are two different things.

I just reread Kristy and Mr Mom and was really touched by Elizabeth and Watson's relationship. Obviously, it's normal for a wife to be concerned about her husband when he's having a heart attack but I thought it was very well written and believable. Kind of reminded me of my parents. Dad's heart surgery seemed to really bring them closer together and sort of changed their relationship, even though it's always been pretty good. Their 30th anniversary is coming up in Oct. ;D and for some reason, I can see Watson and Elizabeth making it that long (as long as he doesn't have a worse heart attack or some other terrible thing.... I'm thinking awful, morbid thoughts now but trying to erase them from my mind....)

It might be difficult, as they married when he was around like late 30's at the youngest? But I hope they do

^ My great-grandparents were married like 75 years and lived into their 90s so there is hope ;D I actually hope the same for all the BSC parent couples

I voted for Mr. & Mrs. Ramsey because they seem like a loving, down-to-earth couple and they raised a good family. Too bad we didn't get to read more about them, though.
I agree with lila about Watson & Elizabeth. They're too new of a couple for me to judge, I definitely think they are still in the newlywed stage.

I mean he won't let Mary Anne say "yeah" but then maaaagically he is okay with shoes popping up in the oven? Right. Well, the man did "loosen up" after marrying Sharon as is often mentioned in the chapter twos, and we know what that means. ;D So I can believe he'd put up with her scatterbrainedness if she's providing Love and Happiness...
