I liked Mimi a lot. She reminded me a lot of my own grandmother. Abby's Gram Elsie is a close second for me, because I love her spunk and strength in Abby in Wonderland.

I voted for Uncle Joe. I cried when Mallory said that Nicky and Uncle Joe looked really comfortable with each other, and when she also said that Uncle Joe played with all of them before he left and the part when he already left.Maybe, that was because I was imagining him looking very happy there, with the Pike kids. I smiled when she said that Uncle Joe looked really happy in Stoneybrook Manor...

^ Uncle Joe can be really funny and I often enjoy his interaction with the kids. Other times, though, it makes me really sad to read about him. I really like Grandpa Morris and Gram Elsie in Abby’s Book, which I just reread. Grandpa Morris reminds me a lot of my own grandpa and how he was always there for me. I really wish they would have been featured in more books. All of the grandparents, beyond Nannie (whom I could have done with less of ;D) and Mimi, actually. I really liked what I saw of Jessi’s grandparents.

Jessi's grandparents were so cute together! I really like grandpa morris, but gram elsie seemed cold to me.

^ Gram Elsie did seem kind of cold to me, too, but still better than my grandmas. ;D I can't stand Nannie because in some ways, she reminds me too much of mine. ;D

I voted for Uncle Joe b/c that storyline reminded me so much of my grandmother.

Mimi, my favorite of all the BSC characters. I really wish she had been healthy and lived. When she died, a part of the "old" BSC did too.

mimi is by far my favorite grandparent in the series. it's so annoying that everyone gushes about how nannie isn't "some old grandma who knits and cooks and blah blah" because those are the things mimi does that are so endearing. it's how she takes care of her family.

Nannie is annoying period. I don't care that she drives a pink rattletrap heap that sounds unsafe for her let alone Emily. I really don't care that she bowls, cooks, wears pants, or is Emily's mother. She became E's mother, and that was that. She can go away now.
Aww, well said OH and so sweet. Mimi. :'/

Nannie seems like the old lady version of those girls who think not being girly makes them superior, which could be why Kristy liked her so much. I have no idea why anyone else did, though. If I have to choose between a grandma who bakes cookies and one who doesn't, it's not going to be a difficult decision.

If I have to choose between a grandma who bakes cookies and one who doesn't, it's not going to be a difficult decision. Nannie had her candy business, so I imagine she could whip up some cookies!
