I voted Nannie but this thread makes me wonder what the unseen grandparents are like. I’d love to know more about Richards parents.

I voted for Mimi. Her stroke and death were heartbreaking. It was one of the first times that I encountered death and I related the struggle back to my own grandmother who passed from cancer. Mimi was so kind with sage advice. I cherished her love for wheel of fortune and special tea. She was a maternal figure not only to Claudia and Mary Anne, but to all the club. It was cute reading how she taught Mary Anne to knit a scarf for her father and how the girls chose to tell funny stories they remembered about Mimi, celebrating her life rather than lamenting her death.

^You made me think about my grandma watching Wheel of Fortune. Even when she was in assisted living with dementia Wheel of Fortune was on every night.
I don't know who most of these grandparents are. Karen spent a lot of time with Seth's parents in the Little Sister books. They were fine (grandma was kinda dumb), but I liked how much she loved her "step" grandparents.

Mimi’s demeanor would put me so at ease. I can’t imagine how lost Claudia felt when she died. I wish she had been in the series longer!

Mimi was the best. She really understood Claudia and always supported her so I get why she felt so lost and alone after she died. I loved her relationship with Mary Anne too, I thought it was sweet Mary Anne invited her to her Mother's Day party in her portrait book.

I picked Mimi. Sad, she passed away. My second favorite is Nannie. I don’t remember the rest of the grandparents.
