Lane-yee, that's cute. I could just imagine little Stacey saying it when they were small children.

^ For some reason, I'm imagining Andrew Brewer saying it in a very whiney voice. ;D (I think this is because Andrew reminds me of another little boy I knew named Andrew/Andy who had the most adorable but whiniest voice ;D)

I've always said it like 'lane'. I just assumed that's the way it would be

^ Me, too. I think Laine-y might actually correct, but it's one of those pronunciation habits I probably won't ever break.

I said and still say Lainey. I'm too old to change my ways. Besides Lane=Lane Kim.

Another reason I say it "Lane" is that "Lainey" sounds "cuter" and "cute" just doesn't fit Laine Cummings. ;D I can see her insisting it's pronounced "Lane" even if it really shouldn't be because she thinks that sounds more sophisticated. ;D

I just don't see the Lain-ee. It would have an extra 'i', wouldn't it? (Lainie). David Blaine isn't David Blainey and Elaine from Seinfeld isn't Elainey

I'm thinking she was probably called Lainey as a kid or something, and then by the time she became sophisticated... say at about, 6, she insisted on it being pronounced 'Lane' haha. How long do you think before Nicky Pike insists to be called Nick? Haha, sorry, that was so off topic!

some people never become nick. i have a cousin nicky who's like forty and is referred to pretty much only as "junior."

Oh, thats cool. I just thought that Nicky will probably soon want to drop the 'y', because he wants to be as grown up as the triplets.
