^ Yeah. ;D Glad I'm not the only one. I actually wish she would have kept riding or at least doing stuff with horses. ;D But I know that bored a lot of people. I also loved the Blankie subplot.

Speaking of tall Jessi covers, she's even taller than Aunt Cecelia on the cover of "Jessi's Baby-Sitter." That was also not among my favorite books, but I don't know if I'd qualify it as one of the worst.

^ I really liked the subplot in that one (could relate to taking over a project.... ;D) but not so much the main plot.

Just about any Jessi book, especially the aforementioned Jessi's Wish. I actually didn't mind Jessi as a character, but her as a narrator wasn't great. I also didn't like the Fire at Mary Anne's House, I thought it was too melodramatic and not a great way to end the series.

I actually like Jessi's Wish and almost all Jessi books but I know a lot of people don't. I thought when I was younger, though, that I didn't but now realize that was because I had never even really tried them. ;D I agree about not liking Fire at MA's House. It really depresses me. Worst Idea is another that I really don't like for the same reason (though that one at least ends pretty good ;D)

I liked the horse stuff in #54, too, but I didn't like the Blankie subplot. I am 27 and would still be majorly traumatized by my baby blanket being torn into pieces.

^ I never had a blankie so maybe that's why it never bothered me. I think the Marshall girls are really cute in this one. ;D

I never really had a security blanket. Just the blanket that I liked more then the others because it was made of a heavy fabric covered with satin so it felt nice to sleep with. I liked the weight of it, plus the silky smoothness. I took it to college with me, but my mom stole it and threw it away and told me to go buy a new one. Just because it was torn and ugly and a little gross doesn't mean it's not still worth keeping, d**n it!
Oh. I didn't like the last two mallory books I read. I didn't like Mallory Pike #1 Fan, Mallory Pike Gets Mono, or Mallory Pike Hates Boys because she sucks at gym class. I just didn't like them, and her character annoys me. But I liked her a lot when I was a kid.

^ I feel your pain. My mother knows better than to throw away my blanket (although she does keep telling me that I should throw it away), but the reason the satin on my blanket is all coming apart and looks terrible is because a few years ago, my mom put it through the washer and dryer without telling me. And she knew that I only hand-wash it and leave it to dry, since it's old and delicate. It would be in much better shape now if she hadn't done that. I mean, we used to put it in the washer and dryer when I was a kid, but I don't anymore because it's too fragile.
Um, my blanket just informed me that I must stop referring to her as an "it," because she is a "she." And vocal, too, apparently.

I'm sorry to admit my blanket is still around. I've been married for almost 5 years.

I'm going through the list looking for the books I just don't read. You can tell which ones these are when you look at my collection, they're not dog-eared.
Stacey and the Mystery of Stoneybrook Jessi's Babysitter Dawn and the Older Boy Kristy and the Baby Parade Kristy for President Stacey's Choice Kristy and the Copycat Stacey's Lie Mary Anne Breaks the Rules Mallory Pike, #1 Fan Don't Give Up, Mallory Abby the Bad Sport Stacey's Secret Friend

^I have books like that, too. Even among my older ones that are first printings. You can tell by looking at them that they were my least faves. Some of them are:
Jessi and the Superbrat Dawn's Family Feud Dawn's Big Move Maid Mary Anne Stacey's Big Crush Jessi and the Jewel Thieves Dawn and the Disappearing Dogs
On the other hand, you can tell which ones I was obsessed with because they are nearly falling apart. My copy of MA and the Great Romance is taped up in several places.

I usually took out the books from the library, so I don't have any dog-eared copies. There were definitely ones which I've read only once and didn't check out again.
Some of my least favorites: Kristy and the Baby Parade Kristy + Bart = ? Claudia's Freind Dawn & Too Many Sitters Abby the Bad Sport Claudia & the Little Liar Mallory & the Ghost Cat
There are probably a couple more, but these are ones that immediately pop into mind.
