It is pretty cool. My friend had one in gold. She wore it with her Cleopatra outfit one Halloween.

Jumpsuits are now officially annoying me! There was a photo spread in In Style, a cover story in Vogue, and I just had a dream that I bought a khaki jumpsuit. I wore it to work and a coworker just followed me around, laughing.

Jumpsuits are hideous. I cannot imagine one looking good on anyone.

Judging by the number of patterns there were for them in the 70s, they were popular enough!

Lately, I've been seeing a ton of ballet flats in shoe stores. It seemed like one of the girls was always wearing ballet flats.

They've been popular for awhile now. They should have been "out" last year, but they are still in stores. they do keep changing and evolving, which is good. I like them alright, but I prefer shoes with heels, so I don't feel so short. heels make me feel stronger and more confident.
i can't believe that the jumpsuit hasn't been mocked to oblivion yet. why? Why must this trend continue?

Fashions change too quickly, IMO, generally speaking.

^Not in Alaska. People here are still wearing some of the most hideous things you can imagine. And putting the most unflattering, 1980s clothes on their kids. not the cute stuff that is back in fashion. the stuff from when i was growing up and it was awful and nothing fit correctly. it's seriously 1985 here, with the icky floral print turtlenecks and people who wear sweaters, with, like their dog's picture screenprinted on the front, and stirrup pants that don't fit. It's so so so hideous. I don't even know where these people get their clothes. i saw somepeople the other day wearing ugly sack dresses with turtlenecks under them; with boots and tights that totally didn't match. it wasn't even that unusual. And guys generally wear carhartts. some women wear them too. At least those have a purpose. ugly dresses have no purpose in alaska.

I assume Carharts are heavy boots?

No, carharts is a brand name for clothing, usually pants but i think they make other things. they are super reinforced. My roommate has a pair of blue pants, which aren't too bad, actually. But most men around here are seen in the tan bib overall variety. Which is... weird. I don't fully process how bib overalls are some how more functional than normal pants, unless you are doing something with a lot of bending over, but whatever. If we want to talk ugly shoes... a lot of women seem to think that these: www.dansko.com/#detail,Professional,Stapled%20Clog,2 (in the patent shiny leather) are the hottest shoes ever. My boss has a pair in shiny red as well, and they are so so so ugly. I don't get it at all.

Those shoes aren't wonderful, by any stretch.
