^ Oh. I can totally relate to Laine n Stacey's Ex-Best Friend, being snobby and above it all to a friend's friends. And it was out of spite -- to cover up the reason why I was unhappy in that situation and was avenging my unhappiness on her friends.

I could relate to Abby, the bad sport. I had a tendency to be just like Abby when it came to soccer and softball.

I could relate to Dawn in Dawn Saves The Planet since I can be obnoxious about protecting the environment. I could relate to Kristy in Graduation Day because there are times where I hate change.

One of the happiest days of my school career came in June of 10th Grade when "Phys Ed" was officially over for me forever. I would have possibly thought otherwise had my junior high PE experiences not been so horrendous. I can relate to Mallory Hates Boys and Gym. On the other hand, I've always been interested in boys--shy (Me) or not. I can also relate to Kristy in #11. My beloved dog died 11 years ago now, still miss him. I was crushed when he died.

I used to relate to Stacey in that book cause of people I knew changing and acting out, but now I realize I do the same thing and empathize with Laine more. I carefully re-read the first chapter and she really didn't sound like she wanted to be there, or for as long as she was but didn't speak up.

Mallory hates boys and gym. I totally relate to the gym part, But my parents let me skip it for almost 2 years. Then when i was in year 11 (age 16) I had a really great teacher who actually made it fun and i ended up enjoying it. and now I have left schoool, I love the gym.
Kristy and the snobs. I read it the week before my cat had to be put to sleep, always makes me cry (that and marley and me).

I always cry when reading Kristy and the Snobs. My beloved Duke was also put down 11 years ago, zoar, but it's like it was just yesterday. I miss that dog so much and I still hate thinking about that day.

Hug, U4me. Me, too about Champ. I think for me what always makes it worse was that he had been to the vet (who told us Champ would be fine) just a few hours earlier!
I can relate to how Kristy felt when MA replaced her (so suddenly) with Dawn in #'s4 and 5. All right, the whole series. I know that is part of why I dislike MA so. I also always wished (like most all of you) that I would have found not so much a secret passage, but secret room or hide-a-way. I can remember as a kid building with legos and dominos, always trying to create some sort of extra space above whatever building I was making.

i relate the most to Stacey's Problem, I think. Also Sunny when she is out chasing boys in CA Diaries, and some shades of Maggie, minus the alcoholic mom/anorexia/perfectionism. But my dad is a lot like hers. Amalia, in Diary 2, when she has trouble trusting Brendan. Oh. and the All-New Mallory Pike, since I also went to boarding school.

I can relate to Mallory in the "Spaz Girl" books and in "The All-New Mallory Pike", and also Maggie in California Diaries.
